This company, Roto Rooter Plumbing and Drain, PO Box 8458 is ridiculously expensive, incompetent and unethical. My daughter, owner of the house and payer requested the main exterior sewage drain to be unclouded. Instead of using the existing clean out, the plumber installed an new clean out. This cost a Thousand dollars. (the actual snaking of the drain was another $325). My daughter payed the emailed invoice but it was several day before she could get to the house and see what was done. When my daughter brought the unneeded clean out to the "Managers" attention, he promised a refund for this un-needed work. Several weeks later, apparently the "Owner" has now decided not to give the promised refund. Also, while the plumber was at the house he "befriended" the resident who has an intellectual disability for the OK to do some additional work. She readily agrees to anything. They charged $130 to replace the "P" trap under the sink, $135 to fix a pop-up on a sink and over $300 to replace flapper values on two toilets. If you know anything about plumbing, this a ridiculous price for simple things and the owner did not request this work. Note there are several companies that have the name Roto-Rooter, this one has "Plumbing and Drain" in their name.

Can't speak highly enough about these guys and what they did. Our drain behind the washing machine was overflowing when washer would empty and the water was actually soaking under the wall.  I've had this issue before and had at least two others look at it.  Last week they accomplished and explained things about my drain in our remodeled 1968 home that no plumbers have been able to over the past couple of years. Worked harder too. Efficient with time; no lollygagging and clear explanation of my problem (lack of proper ventilation of drain pipe. Actually went and got the part and returned to have it set up correctly. The main guy had about 40 years of experience and clearly knew his stuff. His assistant was fantastic as well.

So . . . this morning our bathtub gurgled when I flushed the commode and when I took a shower the commode started bubbling up and later backed up.  Same experienced guy came out with a different helper.  He worked super hard to make sure things were right (and that his conscience would be clear!). Actually snaked the exhaust pipe from the roof as well and found some back up there too. So thankful for the peace of mind with what they found and the hard work they did.

They were very good and prompt and didn't have to wait a week or two. I called that day . And they showed up either that day or the next. I will use them again.

They didn't have the correct size pipe fittings so they had to go back and get them.  They started around 10 AM and finished by 2:30 PM.  The job was professionally done.  $250 for the trachoe and $600 for labor.

Roto Rooter responded very quickly (the same day as my call), assessed
the problem, and suggested two courses of action, one much more
expensive than the other. We decided to go with the least expensive
fix, and the company said if that didn't work they would credit the
amount I paid for the first fix against the cost of the more expensive
fix. The people who arrived to perform the work were polite,
professional, and efficient. They performed the work well and I did not
need to go the more expensive route. Highly recommend!

We had removed dirt over tank for a backyard re-do and took the opportunity to have the septic tank pumped. Roto Rooter was selected since they pumped it out ~10 years ago and had unclogged a drain- both were done well.
Called them on a Tuesday morning. Frank showed up that afternoon but couldn't pump- steep driveway and the truck already had a load. That wasn't a problem with us but could be for others.
Frank came back the next morning and did a great job. What I liked was that he provided tips on care of septic systems, assessed roughly/as well as feasible how well the tank was working (not a lot of sludge) and how well the field lines were draining (watched for any backflow from the fill lines into the tank after pumping). I also asked about installing a and quot;riserand quot; (raises access hole to above ground level). He advised that they can install plastic ones but he strongly recommended against it when I mentioned that a bobcat and sod laying machine will be in the area shortly. I appreciated that since it's not unusual to get a sales pitch in such cases.

The prices were about average. The guy that did it was very knowledgable but we had a miscommunication with time when they were suppose to be here but it all got straightened out.

They are a national company. It was a couple hours' work. We live up on the mountains and the ground is hard and even though we are within the city limits, our sewer line runs way down the hill under our driveway about 150 feet so it is susceptible to clogging and they have helped us out in a couple of those occasions earlier too. They were good at every level except responsiveness. If they said they would be here in the morning, they would show up in the evening or later but timely enough to take care of the issue.

I don't know much about septic tanks.  There was a sewage odor coming into my house.  I called the company.  The woman I spoke with was very helpful in determining the type of service I required.  She put me on their pumping schedule.  She couldn't give me an exact time as arrival was dependent on the extent of services required on their prior calls that day, but said they would call me when the pumper was on it's way.  That's exactly what happened!  They called approx. 20 mins prior to arrival.
I didn't know the exact location of my tank.  They were able to locate it quickly.  They uncovered the cap, pumped, cleaned and inspected the tank, re-capped then replaced the dirt back into the hole.  They were very professional and answered all my layman questions.  I'll definitely have them come back in 3 - 5 years when it needs pumping again!

The only thing I don't like about their service. They can be vague about how long it will take them to get to you. Once they show up they are professional and do a good work.

see above. Very happy to not have to worry about toilets overflowing anymore.  Cleaned out line going to house and made sure that water was flowing easily into the tank.

I called Roto Rooter to pump our septic tank. I booked an appointment online, got a return phone call within hours to confirm the desired date and time. They called the morning of service to confirm and advise they were on the way. Frank, the service professional, was patient while searching for our tank. I had never had to locate the tank before so I was of no help. He poked holes, called into his office to see if the former owners had it done. HIs patience AND DIGGING paid off. He had to dig up lots of rocks in the soil. He answered all my questions with professionalism and patience. I would eagerly recommend Frank and Roto Rooter to anyone!

Frank from Roto Rooter arrived at about 4:30 pm.  He asked where we thought the septic system was.  When I was done showing him, he backed his truck in the driveway and got to work. In about an hour, he had located the septic tank, pumped it out, and made sure it was in good working order.  He even commented that it was very clean for its age.  I am pleased with the service provided and would gladly call them again if needed.

Roto Rooter came out in the pouring rain to clear our line out. He even made an opening we could flush/snake ourselves for and future issues. He didn't charge us for it, he also gave me a coupon to use right then! When we called them out again to pump the septic tank the nice man told us if we dug up the tank ourselves it would save us  alot of money. This is a great company. Very nice( even when being called out on a weekend) I will only use this company for all septic issues. Very professional.

I called Roto-Rooter after trying to call several other companies.  It was Saturday morning and it was an emergency... my septic tank alarm was going off and that's never a good thing.

Roto Rooter sent out a team to my home to evaluate the situation.  They didn't know if the tank needed to be drained, pumped or it was something else.  Two vehicles showed up very fast.  They even called one guy in from his vacation (I felt bad for him but knew Roto-Rooter took my call seriously and wanted it resolved).  It took them very little time to diagnose the problem and to begin correcting it.  The two men were very nice and replaced the float valve on the pump system and then reset my alarm.  They were thorough and fast.

My septic alarm went off early in the morning on a Saturday. I called several companies, one of which I found on Anglie's list wanted to charge me $75 extra to come out on a Saturday.  I hung up the phone and kept calling to see if someone could come out today.  I called Roto-Rooter based on my realtor's advice.  They scheduled me immediately and had a crew at my house less than an hour later.  Wow! The men found the faulty pump and replaced it.  Roto-Rooter called someone in from their weekend off to look at my problem.  I was very impressed (sad for the worker) with the company's commitment to service.  My problem is fixed and I don't have to worry about an overflow this weekend.

In short, they quoted us $3,600 maximum and 2 weeks to complete installing new field lines for our septic tank. It took us over a dozen phone calls begging them to please finish (after they dug up our yard and left it dug up with lines laying open and stinking like crazy) and over 2 months just to get them to come out and bury the lines, which postponed all of our appointments to list our house, landscape our yard, etc. Then they refused to give us an invoice and everyone we spoke with gave us a different amount we owed. After almost 2 months of trying to get them to send us an invoice, which they refused, we finally contacted the corporate office, who ignored our letter. We then contacted the BBB, but their investigation also went ignored by Mr. Foxworth and the entire Roto Rooter company. They finally sent us a bill, which was for $4,200, $600 more than their maximum quote, and a lot of nasty words verbally, which makes us think they added the additional charges just to be extra mean after all this run-around. They were so rude to us and so unprofessional and caused so much trouble (the neighbors were threatening to call the police over the smell alone) that I ended up in the doctors office with heart monitors stuck to me after I collapsed from the stress of trying to deal with these horrible people. Please save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration and avoid this company at all costs (Even the guy they contracted out to run the bulldozer to finally bury the lines told us how horrible they were)!

A nightmare. I had to call them back multiple times to set up the work. The lead plumber was surly. Acted like he was on meth the whole time and frightened my daughter. Flooded my bathroom twice. Made multiple cracks in tub surround and left it. Left the sharp end of a screw sticking out of the wall about half an inch. Left a 2.5' x 4' jagged hole in the plaster wall that I had to repair. Left the house a mess.
