This was the first time we had ever had our Tibetan to a groomer, because she was getting to big for use to fit in our own tub we decided to try Rikki. Our dog loved everyone there, they took their time and played with her to let her get use to her new surroundings before starting. Everyone was so sweet to our dog and made her feel right at ease and gave her play breaks in between so she had a great experience. The trim job turned out like a piece of sculpted art. Rikki and the team worked for almost 5 hours making sure she looked just right while maintaing our breads personality. We felt very Blessed to have found such a competent and talented groomer. Rikki's prices were very reasonable and we would highly recommend Rikki or anyone on her team!

I was instantly pleased when I arrived with my very anxious dog. Rikki played with my dog and she warmed up right away. Her groom was perfect and my dog was so happy when I picked her up. She also kept my dog for the day so I could work out of town. I love how the animals have a play option and can go outside while waiting for the owner.

My Lhaso has only been groomed once, and it was a terrible experience for him. He is very hyper and won't sit still for very long. The owner Rikki, spent time bonding and calming him. She explained all the procedures and didn't act rushed or disinterested. She was very professional and her shop was clean and organized. The comfort of the pet seemed to be the priority. We discussed style options and I left it up to her. I told her the comfort of the dog was my priority since he is not a show dog. They called me when he was ready for pick up, and I was so suprised and pleased when he came to me! He looked fantastic! He was prancing around like a banty rooster, so happy with a new attitude of gratitude. His cut allowed him visual freedom without having eye boogers and possible infection. He was cut very semetrical , smelled clean and fresh, feet trimmed nicely, and shaved smooth and even on the belly and inner back legs, with good clean lines. She told me of a reaction he had to part of her technique in cutting his face, wasn't angry about it (he snapped at her face) and said she would note that in his file. I rescheduled for his next appointment, was e-mailed my receipt , and set up a reminder time. She has several other services that she offers. She also does cats, which I love, and own two. She also mentioned that she was continuing her education in grooming by going to classes offered. I would recommend her to anyone who has a difficult animal for grooming. She obviously loves the animals, and they love her. She calls them her and quot;fur babiesand quot;. Also, having owned two previous Rottweilers, her and quot;babyand quot; is a Rottie! He is extremely sweet and beautiful, and obviously well loved and trained. I know from experience that Rottie's demand respect and attention for their temperment to be calm and submissive. They live to please, and are picky about who they love. They have never been aggressive, in my experience, if they are taken care of by their owners. They have an excellent radar for human character. I knew in the first few minutes of greeting her dog, that I could be comfortable with her judgement and not worry about the treatment of my dog. I couldn't be more pleased with this experience, and highly recommend her services!

Rikki played with the dogs upon their arrival and they became fast friends. She listened carefully to our requests for both dogs and their cuts were perfect! Not too short and not too long. The dogs were very happy here as they were not caged but able to move about. We will be back!

They were very friendly, and attentive to the dogs. The dogs seemed to like them very much.

I am extremely satisfied with the service and experience that I and my dog received. I had just adopted a 6 yr old boxer mix 3 days prior and Rikki was so helpful to work with my schedule. She requested that she have enough time to play with him beforehand and did not seem concerned at all that I knew so little about his behaviors since I had not had him long. She gave me a full report when I picked him up, suggested brushes and recommended how often I should have him bathed. Buddy was so comfortable there that he fell asleep during his facial! I felt she truly cares about the "customer", and Buddy will definitely be a repeat "customer".

Rikki got me in very quickly considering it was my first time using her. I used her based on other Angie's List user reviews and I was not disappointed! I would definitely use her again. I am a vet tech and am very particular about my girls and how they are treated, so I am pleased to say that my girls look great and they seem to really like her. I would recommend Rikki to others looking for a good groomer who is very reasonably priced. I even got a multi-pet discount!

We've been taking our golden retrievers to Rikki at Pick of the Litter for well over a year. Rikki was recommended by our previous groomer who retired. When our previous groomer retired, we had tried a couple of other groomers in town and weren't happy with the way that we saw them treat our dogs or with the resulting groom. So, we called our retired groomer and she recommended Rikki. Just this past weekend I thanked that retired groomer again for recommending Rikki at Pick of the Litter. It is way past time for me to write a review here.
Rikki ALWAYS goes the extra step. All of our dogs are rescue dogs and every dog that we've taken to Rikki has in some way been special needsand quot; . No problem! Rikki is great with them and always makes it a great experience both for the dogs and for us. She is incredibly gentle and kind. It is obvious that she genuinely loves her and quot;clientsand quot;. Our dogs are so happy to see Rikki that they don't just wag their tails, they bounce with excitement, their entire bodies wagging. Including one that is painfully shy around everyone else. Rikki doesn't just snap a lead on them and take them back, she comes out into the lobby to greet them, plays each dog before taking them into the grooming area. I've popped in earlier than expected and found Rikki on the floor playing with the dogs.
But, she's not just great with the dogs, she is an outstanding groomer. Every week for more than a year, I've constantly had great grooming results. Squeaky clean dogs, she always remembers to use hypoallergenic products, nails are always properly Dremel rounded, never had a split nail with Rikki, their coats are trimmed appropriately.
The other local groomers that we tried before getting the recommendation to Rikki charged us a lot more than Rikki does, one them 3x more than what Rikki does. None of them did as good a job as Rikki and our dogs were never happy to see them. Additionally, Rikki has always accommodated us when something came up and we needed to re-schedule. Pick of the Litter Grooming... Best groomer, couldn't be easier to work with, best value. We couldn't be happier. You can trust your pets to her care.

I called Ricki the DAY BEFORE we left for vacation and she worked our schnauzer, Sebastian, in her schedule. She and her staff were very pleasant and you could tell they LOVED dogs. I described the way I wanted him cut and 3 hours later picked up the most beautiful little schnauzer you have ever seen! I am delighted to find this kind of quality grooming so close to home. I will most definitely be returning for Sebastian's next grooming!!

I called the day before and I was able to make an appointment for the next day. I was given a specific time to drop off the dogs. I dropped them off and was told to pick them up in about 3 hours. They called me when the dogs were ready to be picked up.
My dogs were very happy and looked wonderful. I was very pleased with how they looked but I think the most impressive thing about the whole grooming here is that my dogs were not put in cages but were allowed to be free. Rikki (sp?) told me they sat at her feet while she was grooming. They were very happy. I was very happy that they were so happy.
