Mr. Appliance of Chattanooga

Our dishwasher quit working. No lights were coming on. I know nothing about appliances, so I called Mr Appliance. We were quoted $99 for a service call. After taking off the kick plate and resetting the control board we were charged $120. So I guess nothing is included in the service call. We were charged extra for less than 5 minutes of work. That did not work and we were told that the repairs would cost more than a new unit. Well, before buying a new unit, I decided I would take a stab. Pulled the unit out of the cabinet and checked all the connections I could reach. Had the unit working in less than 15 minutes. I have ZERO knowledge or experience working on electronics or appliances. Mr. Appliance is lazy and incompetent. You are better off watching a youtube video and taking care of it yourself. After reading other reviews, it seems a big part of their business plan is spending 5 minutes on $99 service calls and not doing any work.

After paying almost 109..00 for service ,defective part main board.cost to repair $400.00 plus tax , part not in stock up to 2 weeks for part to ship then a week to reschedule so my 2year old unit would by not working for almost a month .Tech said part was very expensive. I called the local part store was qouted 168.00 not bad then I learned for 12.00 for expedited shipping would have part in hand in 2 DAYS !!!!!! WOW so they was going to make a paying customer to wait 3-4 weeks for repair DON’T care for customers , so I will repair my own system for 168.00 part and the 109.00 service charge that I have already paid not the 510.00 I was qouted . Buyer beware do your self a favor and call another company . I WILL NEVER CALL THEM AGAIN other to call them a overpriced RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!!

I had indicated that the work would be under warranty. When the repairman arrived, he told me they didn't do Maytag warranty work and charged me $95 for the service call. I then had to contact a different repair service for service.

The service was quick and very professional. The receptionist and the repair man were both wonderful. I was impressed with the message showing a picture of the repair man. The repair man was prompt and explained everything he was doing and why. The refrigerator is working perfectly now and if any other appliance breaks down, Mr Appliance will be the company I call.

First repaired blown fuse but stove failed again that night. Repairman returned next day and discovered exhaust fan was going bad. Part was ordered and installed two days later. Only other charge was for new fan. There were no additional diagnostic or labor charges beyond the first visit to replace fuse.

I was very happy with how prompt they were with answering the phone and how quickly they were able to work me in. I thought it was really great that they not only sent me a text to let me know when the Tech was on the way, but also sent me his name and photo. The price was higher than I expected, but they didn't charge me a service fee for the initial visit since I got my repairs done with them. All in all I am happy.

The initial response from the office was excellent. The technician arrived on time and was courteous. He diagnosed the problem and indicated a part would have to be ordered, taking 3-4 days. Within the hour after his departure the office called and said the part would be in the next day and arranged for the technician to return the day after that (EXCELLENT). The technician returned with the part, that's when things went a little off. He didn't seemed prepared to install the part. He had difficulty in removing the old one, as if he hadn't done this before. It turned out he had to remove another part to get the old one out. He did not come in with all the tools he needed like most technicians would. After several trips to his truck for additional tools the work was completed. So far it appears that this was the corrective action. I would recommend this company, but don't look for high degrees of professionalism from the techs.

I just moved and had issues with my LG washer on the first use after hooking it up in my new house. Couldn't figure out the problem. As my washer was out of waranty LG didn't give me the time of day and gave me the runaround. Not many reviews on applance replair companies in my area and took a chance on Mr Appliance. Im glad i did. I was able to make a next day appoint. The repairman, Chad, showed up early. It took him about 25 minues to diagnos the problem and another 20 to fix it. He was knowledgable and took the time to explain the issue and what to watch out for in the future. Would definitely recommend Mr Appliance to anyone needing a washer/dryer repair, especially if you have LG or Samsung as some companies won’t touch them.

.I was disappointed that he couldn't find the leak in the water line that runs up to where you put your glass to press to fill it with water.  I felt I wasted $158.00 since he couldn't repair anything.  I would not use Mr. Appliance again.
