"It was such a privilege to work on this beautiful handcrafted deck. The member actually made it himself . Thank you for this wonderful review. I actually did charge you a little more than $0, hahaha and it was kind of you to add a tip."
"What a pleasure it was to work for this member. It was almost like working for family. Really nice people. Ha, ha! Yesss even though are both 6'6" we do eat second breakfasts as if we were hobbits. :)"
"It was a pleasure working for you. You were the hardest working and most accommodating clients I have ever had for moving things around every day. Love the views from your house!"
"You had taken care of your deck so well that this was much more easily done. I enjoyed talking to you about music. Thanks for the great review."
"Thank you so much. You have such a beautiful home. I really enjoy doing this type of work and it was great to see the photos posted."
"Those were some amazing beautiful hand rails, I haven't seen any quite that ornate and unique before. I enjoyed learning about them. Thank you for the great review."
"I'm rarely asked to sign a wall. What an honor. By the time I left I felt like family. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience."
"It was a real pleasure to work in your home. No one else I work for does their own repairs on plaster walls and then calls me to paint it. It was easy to make it look good when you had all the repairs done so well. You have a cool dog."
"We had a good time removing trim and redesigning the staircase pattern. I enjoyed listening to your Alexa."
"Thanks for choosing Mark Cole Painting."

"Thanks for choosing Mark Cole Painting."
"Thank you so much for the excellent review. I enjoyed putting the sheetrock back into a good condition. You have a lovely home."
gave us an estimate. He mentioned that either we do another blown popcorn or get rid of the popcorn first & then paint. He painstakingly removed the popcorn ? big slow job. But meticulously did it. Prepped the ceiling and then painted. It was a
tough job since the popcorn was very old & the whole area had to properly enclosed to contain the dust.
He is a perfectionist & did a very good job!
He always came at appointed time ? only one day he had to change the time due to unusual situation but called ahead of time & let us know. Very congenial and goes out of his way to take care of small additional items.
We are very pleased and would recommend highly for any interior paint job!
"Thank you so much for the positive review. I appreciate it greatly."
"What a beautiful property near where I grew up. Congratulations on your new amazing place."
"Those are some sweet dogs. Thank you for this review. Glad you are happy."
They did a great job, and I will definitely hire them again when we need the staircase, or anything else painted; which we will.
"Thank you for this review. We enjoyed helping you restore your home and get the desk moved."
"Happy to help. Thank you for the nice review."
"Great. Happy to know that you are pleased with the result."
From putting down a coat of primer on the dark blue wall in my son's bedroom to ensure the lighter color we painted it with had good coverage, to mudding over every single nail-pop, crack and imperfection of the walls, Mark pointed these things out and said that he would add them to the quote. Now here is the kicker --- despite all of these "extras", his price was REALLY reasonable.
One part of the project that stood out for me was his approach to the wainscoting in our basement. As I mentioned, we had 2 walls & the chair-rail and wainscoting that needed to be painted after they were replaced. Mark looked at the wainscoting that was still intact and suggested that he caulk the seams and re-paint all of the existing wainscoting. The existing stuff was not caulked and you could see lines in the wainscoting which looks really bad. Mark did a phenomenal job, did it the right way and made all of the new work blend in perfectly with the existing.
I will say that the project took longer than expected but this was due in part to 1.) the overall size of the job, 2.) Mark having to schedule around the other contractors we had working on the basement and 3.) some of the work involved oil based paint which limits the amount you can do per day due to the fumes. It took a couple more days than we hoped but i would rather have it take longer and be done the right way than be done "on time" and the contractor do a poor job.
Mark is a contractor that takes the time to do things the way he would do them on his own house. That is huge for us. We have had experiences with contractors that cut corners, avoid going the extra mile on a project and gouge you on price. Mark's prices were fair, he did a great job (hard to find a single line or streak on any of the walls - seriously) and we plan to use him again for upcoming painting jobs.
"thank you so much for your detailed review. The oil paint is smelly but it gives incredible results, and is time consuming.Looking forward to finishing your dining room trim project!"
