They replaced the battery and did a great job. They left a measuring devise for radon detection as well. I would highly recommend them.

We are very happy with the work that Insulation Unlimited has done for us. Marty is prompt with gathering the info for the quotes and then they are very easy to schedule with. Zach in the office has been super patient with me, explaining bathroom vent hoses and insulating attic entries. We had to add insulation as part of a repair request for a house that we are selling and they accommodated our very tight timelines graciously. I can't recommend them enough.

Great. Very punctual and dependable. All work was accomplished in approximately two hours. No time was wasted with either of them taking smoke breaks or just standing around talking or any other break. No waste of time. Very personable, respectful. Cleaned up any mess they had made. Would definitely hire again and definitely recommend Insulation Unlimited. Owner Nathan is also very personable and always willing to talk to you and answer any questions.

I used this contractor in conjunction with utility EPB's insulation rebate initiative. Jerry from Insulation Unlimited was responsive and showed up to give me a quote. He took tons of pictures and walked me through my issues and what was required for the rebate. They did their work promptly, thoughtfully and carefully, installing an extension hose on a bathroom fan to ensure it would still vent to the outside correctly. EPB's subsequent audit found no problems with the work done Total cost was $1600 and I priced the materials alone at Home depot and lowes and it would have cost me $1000 in materials plus my time and effort. I received a $350 rebate from EPB so my net cost was $1250. They did the work all in one day, two different crews showed up, one to seal the holes and put in baffles and second crew arrived later to blow in the insulation.

The estimator came by the day after I called to inquire about their services. He was thorough and explained exactly what was needed to seal moisture from seeping up through the existing (haphazardly installed) ground cover that was already in place in the crawl space. He inspected the area and checked the existing insulation and saw some areas that had not been filled.
The office called and scheduled the work within two days, and when the crew was delayed on the scheduled day, they called to notify me of it. The work was rescheduled for two days later. Because it wasn't something critical, I felt this was pretty fast work.
The men arrived slightly earlier than had been promised and completed the job quickly. It looks  very neatly done, and they hauled away all trash; there was absolutely nothing for me to clean up.
This is the second time we've used Insulation Unlimited. They were on the list of approved contractors for the EPB energy survey that we had done a couple of years ago and we called them to improve our attic insulation. They did a fantastic job there, too--quick, clean, and thorough.
I don't think we have anything left to insulate, which is a shame, because it has been a pleasure doing business with this company.

I used this contractor in conjunction with utility EPB's insulation rebate initiative. Unlike some contacted vendors, Insulation Unlimited were responsive and showed up to give a quote. Good start.
They did their work promptly, thoughtfully and carefully, installing an extension hose on a bathroom fan to ensure it would still vent to the outside correctly.
EPB's subsequent audit found no problems with the work done (which must say something about the quality of the contractor), and noted they'd done more than required at no extra cost to me. I was impressed by that. Highly recommended and would gladly do business with again.

I contracted Insulation Unlimited to install blown insulation in the attic of my duplex.  They also installed vent baffles and foam sealed all openings.  The work was scheduled and completed within two weeks of initial contact.  Everyone I delt with was professional and friendly.  All work was performed to EPB stardards and passed inspection so I will get refunded for half of the expense.  I highly recommend Insulation Unlimited for all your insulation needs.

Pursued additional insulation as part of EPB energy program. IU performed an estimate assessment at the house in December. The estimator fully explained what IU could and could not do to address our needs. What they could do met the needs identified by EPB. Upon receiving the final estimate, I contacted IU to schedule installation. The first date available was on 1/29/13, largely due to the number of other EPB situations like ours. They sent 5 people to the house at the predetermined time. They were able to do all the work in just over 2 hours. They were very neat and professional. It was obviuos that they were very experienced in their work. We have been very pleased with their work. The house is warmer, the HVAC runs less, and we received the $500 check from EPB. Overall, I would highly recommend they be contacted to discuss potential similar jobs.

This is a new construction home in a very remote area.  It has closed foam for exterior walls and ceilings.  I compared using foam vs fiberglass insulation inside walls of a new construction for sound control.  Initially was going to have them do our garage and inside walls, but once onsite realized they were not going to be putting in enough insulation (2 rows) for the 2x6 offset studs.  When they calculated the new quote (double, for less than double the insulation area needing additional insulation), I only had them do the detached garage until I could get more information. I wanted to see the difference in cost for foaming the interior walls for sound (giving much better sound control), doing fiberglass insulation myself, or having them do it. They did such an excellent job on the garage insulating and foaming around openings, that I felt comfortable with them doing the remainder of the job.  We decided to have them also insulate the outside porches.  They recommended putting baffles in the exterior porches even though they were not vented roofs to reduce condensation.  They arrived the day after contacting them and started on the job (took 1.5 days). They did a Very professional job.  They foamed all holes and behind rough-in boxes and between studs too close to insert fiberglass material.  They did not smash in the fiberglass insulation, there joints were close with few air gaps, and they cut close to boxes (all common causes of poor fiberglass installations).  If I mentioned anything that I wanted corrected or added, they quickly complied without complaints.   They cleaned up as they went, but still left quite a bit of material around the house (maybe 3-5% of their total garbage).  Since this was a new construction, which is a mess anyway, this was not a major issue. They did not foam the baseboard area like they had done in our garage.  I believe they are planning to come back after the sheetrock is finished to foam the baseboards and provide a tighter sound barrier in each room.  My lack of understanding is mine.  It was in the quote, so I know they will do it.  The builder may know the answer if they missed this or plan to come back after sheet rocking.  I have not asked him. Would highly recommend.

Very clean and professional job.  Foamed all exterior openings (even
outside the 8' level) and baseboard.  Very tight job with few air gaps
that I could find.  Was so impressed with their work, asked them to come
back to do additional work.

I initially chose IU due to the great ratings on Angie's list, as well as being an EPB preferred contractor.    My first contact with them went well, left my number with them for a call back to schedule estimate.  Waited two full days for a call, and then contacted them again giving them benefit of the doubt (this is why I gave them a "B" for responsiveness).  After this they were prompt to schedule, and estimate was received via email within 2 days.  They arrived on time, went right to work, and had the job finished in the 4 hour window they gave me.  They had all the necessary paperwork for the EPB rebate program, the inspection by EPB afterward went very well, nothing had to be redone.  Received my rebate check yesterday!
