Scott came out immediately, quoted. Work was completed on time. We had an entire new roof approx 5000 sq ft. We had more issues than you can imagine. He resolved every single one and then some. We would highly recommend.

They replaced the roof with architectural shingles. They had to replace some of the wood under the shingles and replaced it with particle board. I had some more work done on the soffits and they had to replace the particle board with real wood. The contractor showed me the wood and it was horrible. He told me that if anyone walked on that particle board they could fall through the roof.
Won't use them again or recommend them.

I had 3 or 4 estimates and they've got the best pricing and got the best material I wanted for my roof. They did what they said they would, when they said they would, and how they said they would. I only had one problem when they weren't able to properly secure a decorative piece when they did the job. The guy did came back and fixed it.

They were very neat and protected my property. They laid tarp down to catch all the roofing from hitting the ground, in order to protect my gardening things. Before they would even let me pay them, they had me walk around to make sure I was satisfied. I am very impressed with them. My overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this company again.

I liked the person that came out and did the estimate and checked it for us. The crew that actually came to do the job wasn't given all the information they needed when they got here. That was a little bit surprising. They came to the door and basically asked me what they were supposed to do.

Called several roofers from Angies List for estimates. Gravitt's was not the least expensive but I was impressed with the guy that came out to give me the estimate. They were very easy to work with, showed up when they said they would and left no mess or nails. Overall I was very impressed with them and would recommend them to friends or family.

I might have been able to find someone to do it for less, but I bet not as quick, and due to the extrememely hot summer we have had, I'm glad it was done quickly.

Did not get leak entirely stopped on first visit. Worker returned the same day of the follow up call and spent considerable time tracking the source of the leak and removing shingles and siding to determine source. Did not charge for the return visit and repairs. The leak now appears to be completely eliminated.

All went well. The roofing and gutters look great. The area was cleaned up after work was done. Workers were friendly and cooperative. Very professional group I highly recommend.

FOLLOW-UP AUGUST 2, 2012. ALTHOUGH THE ROOFING WENT WITHOUT PROBLEMS PROBLEMS DEVELOPED WITH THE GUTTERS, WHICH BEGUN TO COME LOOSE FROM THE HOUSE AND FALL.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE GUTTERS WAS DUE TO THE INSTALLERS USING ROOFING NAILS INSTEAD OF SCREWS TO FASTEN THE GUTTERS TO THE HOUSE. I CALLED GRAVITT ROOFING AND SPOKE WITH LADY WHO ANSWERED THE PHONE WHO TOOK MY INFORMATION TO PASS ALONG TO GRAVITT. HE DID NOT RETURN CALL.

I HIRED SOMEONE ELSE TO REINSTALL GUTTERS PROPERLY.

It was good--the salesperson was a bit more pushy than we would have preferred. We were happy overall, but they were a little bit lax in their cleanup afterwords. One of my tires got flat from a nail they left and we looked around the property and found about ten more nails that had been left behind.

Roof was leaking and needed replacement. Met with company foreman at 5:00 one afternoon (in pouring rain) to select color and finalize the deal. Job was completed by noon the next day. Fast response and fast work. Definitely not your "two men and a ladder" type company.

Great! Jeff was very responsive throughout the process. Answered all questions and provided additional information when asked. Brought samples to the house twice -- we couldn't make up our mind the first time. The crew finished the job and cleaned up in one day. The crew had to deal with rain showers the day they installed the roof and were delayed, but after lunch, several more showed up to help finish -- including Jeff. I had a quote to do this job for less, but I decided to use Gravitt and would do it again.

The project was completed as agreed to. Buddy Waters first arrived as scheduled to take measurements and provided a quote based on the selection I made from roofing samples that he had with him. I had no trouble selecting one that I liked and that blended well with the house brick, etc. I had estimates from others; Buddy's estimate was in the mid-range of the other estimates. I selected Gravitt to perform the roof replacement because (a) Buddy was the only one to provide a quotation package that consisted of copies of their license, insurance coverage, guarantees, detailed quotation, etc. (b) Buddy conducted himself in a business-like professional manner and answered all my questions, (c) Gravitt has an actual business location (they're not working out of a pickup truck), (d) the company name was "painted" on the truck (none of the others were), (e) all reports on Angie's List were rated "A," (f) one of my neighbors used Gravitt Roofing to replace his roof and he was very satisfied, and (g) the price wasn't the lowest or highest, but was very reasonable, especially based on the results that I eventually received. I faxed the agreement to Gravitt and set a date with Buddy to begin work. He estimated 3 days to complete the roof replacement. On the scheduled date, the 10-man crew promptly arrived at 7:00 am and started work. The foreman said they would probably work until 3:00 pm each day because of the heat (90F). However, they worked until 5:30 pm the first day and made great progress. The crew returned the next morning promptly at 7:00 am and were completely finished with the job by 3:00 pm. The roof looks great and they corrected some flashing problems that were from the original roofing job; added some additional venting also. The crew did a good job of cleaning the work area each day and hauled away all debris. They also did a very good job of picking up nails with the roller magnet; however, its very difficult to get them all, so beware when you are outside around the house and in the driveway. Examine the driveway carefully after they leave just to be safe (I found a few nails that were missed). Overall, I'm very pleased with Gravitt Roofing and would recommend them to anyone wanting a reasonably priced, professional quality job.

The 10 man crew arrived at 7:00 AM. The Supervisor checked with me to list all activities that would take place and if I had any special concerns. I told him that the plants around the house must be protected and he said there would be no problem. The crew started to remove the old roof right away. Within 45 minutes the old roof on the back of the house was gone. They inspected all decking for rotted wood or other problems. Several small places needed to be replaced but was less than one 4X8 sheet of plywood. After the decking was determined to be satisfactory, the roof "nailers" then connected their four air nailers and started to nail the new roof on. It sounded like a machine gun was being used. This went very fast. By 10:30 after the new Aura-Vents (Check these vents on the internet. They have no moving parts and work very well also.) were installed, the back of the roof had been totally reroofed. They took a 30 minute break and then removed the roofing on the front of the house. The same process was repeated along with the installation of the two ridge vents. The process again went extremely fast. The crew was focused on what they were doing. Two men were continuously cleaning the area which kept the work zone quite safe. During the old roof removal, the clean-up crew took all of the removed shingles and carried them to where the trash truck was located on the driveway and tossed the debris into the truck bed. None of the debris was purposely tossed onto the yard. I inspected the work and asked questions during the whole process. After the front roofing was installed, the supervisor asked if I had any questions. Since I had already asked the questions I told him there were none. The cleaning crew picked up all accidentally dropped debris that landed on or near the bushes and used a rolling magnet to pick up all nails and metal debris, which was very little. This was done all around the house and at least two times on the driveway and sidewalks. The amazing thing about the whole job is that they were complete with everything by 1:30 PM.

Jeff was thorough and attentive during the estimating process. The crew did the job in just over a day and a half. I found them quick and effective in responding to a couple of requests I made during and after the job. This company's estimate was in the middle between the lowest and highest bids I received. It is now three months since they completed the job, and I am very satisfied with their work.

When I called, it took a few days to get a call back from the person doing the estimate, but he came out the next morning and his estimate beat the next lowest price by over $200. They scheduled the work for Tuesday morning, but had an unexpected opening Monday afternoon. When I called Tuesday to find out where they were, I was amazed to hear that they were already finished. The clean up was enough that I didn't even realize they'd been here. I can't possibly recommend this company to enough people. Simply amazing.

Jeff from Gravitt came out, went up on the roof, discussed in detail the differences between their estimate and one we had already gotten. He helped us choose a color, which looks beautiful. They also put new gutters on with gutter guards. The entire job took 3 days, the roof itself was on the first day. You could not tell the guys were there. They did a wonderful cleanup job.

Jeff was very courteous throughout the whole process and did appear to know what he was doing during the evaluation of our project. He climbed around both the outside of our house and the few areas of the attic that were accessible. He took numerous pictures of the job site and provided an estimate that day. The job itself encountered only one problem; they had not brought enough boards to replace all the damaged decking that was present when the old roofing material was removed. This setback, however, was remedied immediately after lunch and they were able to complete the entire job in a single day. I was very impressed by their professionalism and courtesy. They even let me throw away an old door with the scrap they removed from my roof.
