Genos Salon

I work with someone close to Geno and I wanted to support his business so in 2008 or so I started getting my hair done there. Geno is wonderful at cuts and styling. I never really loved the color but only because he is very avant gard and I am very conservative. I stopped going there because it became too difficult to get in. He did not have 'preferred' clients that could get in without a three week notice. I don't fault him for that but I have short hair. I can't plan three weeks ahead with my hair because it grows wildly in three weeks. If I schedule at the time of my last appointment, it became impossible to determine if I even needed a cut in 4 or 6 weeks. So, I do recommend Geno but I no longer use his services.

It's a lovely hair salon, Geno is the one who cuts my hair, and he does an awesome job. I can take any picture, any style, any way I want my hair cut, and he is able to do that. I used to wear my hair really short, I now wear it long, and he is equally good with the short haircuts and with the long haircuts. I have been to people who no matter what I tell them, they don't cut my hair according to that, they cut it like they want it to look, and it is very frustrating. This is a small salon, it's not bustling with people and noise, it's a very quiet experience, he has massage chairs to use while he is shampooing my hair, and it's a lovely experience. As far as prices go, his price is beyond reasonable, there are some salons that just charge what the market will bear, which is ridiculous, I have paid more than twice as much for a haircut at salons before.
