Melanie was great! She did a thorough inspection and took time to answer all our questions. We didn’t feel “rushed”. The follow-up report we received the same day was very detailed but easy to understand. We will definitely call her again and would not hesitate to recommend her to family and friends.

Melanie was amazing. Very thorough and explained everything to where I could understand what was going on. Went over what needed to be fixed immediately and what needs to be fixed but could wait till after move in. She not only explained to me within the home so I could see exactly where she was talking about but she also sent me a report with everything we went over with just as much detail.

Melanie did a very thorough job with the inspection and then went above and beyond by giving us tons of advice on home maintenance, etc. Her great communication skills and promptness were much appreciated. She is extremely knowledgeable and always had an amazingly thorough answer to all my questions.
Will absolutely use Full Disclosure Home Inspection again whenever I have the need for a home inspection.

My wife and i are building a new house and even though the builder provides a one year warranty and the city inspects for code adherence, we wanted to have peace of mind of a home inspection. Living in Chattanooga, there are many choices to provide this service. After looking at several company web sites, BBB ratings, certifications, credentials and examples of their services, i contacted Full Disclosure Home Inspection services. The phone was answered by Melanie Moore, the inspector and owner of the company. The phone was answered after the 2nd ring and she was very pleasant in answering my questions. Not only did she answer all my questions, but she sent me several examples of the service she provides and a very nice personal e-mail. I waited almost two weeks before contacting her to schedule an inspection and she gave me several choices to suit my schedule. I was given explicit detail about how the inspection worked, what see provided and didn't provide and the cost inclusing discount opportunities.
On the day of the inspection, she was prompt and very courteous and professional in her appearance, her inspection and the interaction with my wife and i. She explained everything she identified including why it could be a problem, what needed to be done to correct it and actually gave us detaield instructions on how to actually do it if we decided to do it ourself. She spent over 2 hours going over every aspect of our house and systmatically inspecting and documenting via notepad and pictures the issues she identifed. This was in spite of my wife and i asking her all kinds of questions and turning on lights when she was using the lights off in a room as an indication she had completed that room. When it was over, she gave us a portfolio of various contractors, a relocation booklet identifying important phone numbers and critical relocation information. She also provided us with brand new ink pen. That may seem trivial and an advertising opportunity, but to have that level of detail was impressive to us and made us feel that she was not just interested in inspecting our house and moving on. At no time did she rush us, cut corners or treat us like we were in the way. We felt like she had our best interest at heart and the job she was performing was direct reflection on her.
We received the full color report later that same day detailing everything she had identified during the inspection including the same level of detail she had verbally given us about recommended action and mitigation steps to correct. She had plain english language on what the problem was, why it was a problem and how to fix it with specific details that emphasized not just correcting the condition, but doing so in a manner that protected the integrity of the material and prevented additional problems.
We plan on hiring her again to perform another inspection prior to our one year builders warranty expires and we strongly recommend that anyone needing a home inspection use her and her service.

Melanie Moore, owner of Full Disclosure, was referred by our Real Estate Agent. She was very well versed in her knowledge in all facets of a home. I personally met her at the home and walked through the house with her. She was happy to answer all the questions I asked and to let me know of small details I might have overlooked. Melanie was extrememly professional but personable as well and made you feel very comfortable. The inspection took maybe a couple of hours with the extra testing we requested.
She sent the test off for results on Mold and Radon and they came back in approximately a week. The results on her inspection was emailed in detailed that same afternoon. All the reports were sent electronically and detailed any discrepencies fully. She was happy to talk through the reports if we would have requested it.
I found Melanie great to work with, a pleasure to get to know and offered to help with any questions about the area since we have moved in from out of state. I truly would not hesitate to call her regarding any other service I might need and see who she recommends!
She gave us a great packet of information with other service a new home owner might need. Good resources!
