My father has been a patient of Dr. Talbert's for 5 years- during this time we have endured his horrific bedside manner because he was a competent doctor. However, on Monday, June 2 we waited over THREE hours to be seen in his office (this was WITH an appointment). The staff were rude and unapologetic. We finally left without being seen and switched to the Chattanooga Heart Institute. The experience was night and day. The staff and doctors at the Chattanooga Heart Institute were wonderful and actually saved my father's life. Talbert had Daddy on the WRONG medication which was making him dizzy and causing a worsening of the heart failure. Also, one of my father's pacemaker leads has been malfunctioning for six months - Talbert said not to worry about it. The dr. at Chatt. Heart Inst. said it could KILL him and they have him scheduled to get the malfunctioning lead replaced.

The exam went good. The wait time was a little longer than usual but it was broken up with half being spent in the waiting room and half in the exam room. Nothing much had changed since the last exam so the actual visit was very short. The doctor was very nice and even though I could tell that he was very busy, I feel he would have answered my questions if I had any..

It was horrible. My appointment was at 12:45 and I was seen at 2:15. He came in and spent about 10 minutes with me. He was very rude, critical, and accusatory towards me. He made me feel like I shouldn't be there and wasting his time.

He is professional and he is easy to get along with. He is very friendly and very thorough. When he knew that I needed the heart surgery, I was up on the treadmill to get my pulse rate up. It didn’t take him long to shut it down and he told me that we would get an angiogram. When he saw the angiogram, he thought he might be able to do a stent. But he was not able to do it and he immediately referred me to someone else. It showed that he was interested in my health. I have to see him in September again.
