About us

I provide mobile auto repair services, for both foreign and domestic vehicles. I will come to you, at your convenience, to help get you back on the road or to do that preventive maintenance you have been putting off due to the inconvenience of taking time out of your busy workday and sitting in a shop office for hours. I have a $30 service call fee for the Greater Chattanooga Area. This covers my time and fuel, and will provide a diagnostic and up to half an hour of labor, which will cover some minor repairs. If your vehicle requires more extensive work and you elect to have me do it at the same time, the service call charge is waived. I have many satisfied customers and will provide references upon request.

Services we don't offer

I can not rebuild an automatic transmission. However I can change fluid and filter and make external adjustments on those transmissions which can be adjusted. I can also remove the defective transmission and replace it with a used one or have that one rebuilt and reinstall it for you.

,After I lost compression in two cylinders, I contacted Carlos about an estimate to replace the head gasket on my 1997 Volvo 960. He explained that it could be a blown head gasket, burnt valves, or bad rings in the two cylinders. He charged me $30 to come over to my house and do a complete compression check and leak down procedure. This determined that indeed my rings were good. He told me that his price to change the head gasket was $325 which was very reasonable in comparison to several garages that I had contacted. Most were in the $1,000 range. When we agreed on the price. he immediately started to remove the head and had it completely off in a few hours. I ordered all the parts online and took the head to a local machine shop to have a complete valve job done. This took about a week to get the head back. When I had the head back and all the parts, I contacted Carlos and he came over and put everything back together.He is very meticulous and explains everything to you about the job.I was very cautious about hiring just anybody to work on my Volvo. I had a bad experience previously, with a mobile mechanic that I hired from Craigslist to work on one of my other cars. My wife and I felt that Carlos was open and honest and felt comfortable hiring him to do the job. I would highly recommend him to anybody seeking a trustworthy mechanic. We will use him again!He does not only complete engine work,including Head Gaskets, Timing Belts and Chains, Water Pumps, but Brakes, Suspension and Front End Parts, Electrical including Starters, Alternators, CV Axles, Air Conditioning, Headliners, Window Tinting and so much more.
