Paul is prompt and knows what he's doing.  He patiently answered any question I had and told me what he would ignore and what he would address immediately if he were buying the home.  He is very specific about each issue   I had to return to work before he was finished and he told me to call his cell if I had questions. That night I was emailed a detailed account including pictures.  An attic/roof issue looked scary as written, but Paul assured me the roof would not collapse.  He told me it was a common way to build in 1980, but is no longer done.  Paul assured me there was no structural problem, but his report needed to include the issue.
 
He doesn't try to talk you into, or out-of a purchase, or ask the price.  His concern is that you know exactly what you are purchasing, with all its flaws, tiny and huge, so you can make an informed decision.  If he can't check it, for whatever reason, he lets you know he did not and advises you to have someone else look at it.
I have complete faith in Mr. Edmonson's work and assessments.

Mr Edmundson was on time and extremely professional. He did a very detailed exam of the house inside and out, on the roof and in the crawl space. I got a complete report the next day with pictures of everything. I was present during the inspection and he explained things when I had questions. He also said he would be available for questions after I read the report. I did have to call him for further clarification. He returned my call in a timely manner. I feel that he gave me all the info I needed to make an informed decision about purchasing the house. I know exactly what I am purchasing and there will not be any surprises after I move in. I would highly recommend ATS Property Inspection to anyone and will use him again if I ever move.

Very thorough inspection report submitted. I was out of town and unable to be there in person, but Paul happily went over the report with my two appointed proxies. They were impressed by his attention to detail and knowledge of all home systems and construction methods.

Paul did an incredibly thorough job.  I've purchased several homes, and his report was by far the most details and professional I have ever seen.  I feel confident in saying, he doesn't miss a thing.  When you buy a home, and have it inspected, the best you can hope for is to have someone inspect it as though they were buying the home for themselves and their family.  With Paul, that is exactly what you get.

Paul arrived on time and after a brief explanation of the inspection process he began his inspection.  Total time was approximately 4 hours.  Paul did a very thorough and detailed inspection.  He methodically went through the home and explained each issue to the buyer and seller as he went along.  After completion of the inspection, he summarized the issues that he found.
Paul was extremely professional and polite but matter of fact.  Paul also offered remedies and projected costs for the repairs.
We received the written report that same evening.  The report confirmed Paul's findings as well as outlined the seriousness of each issue.
I highly recommend ATS and Paul Edmonson for any home inspection. Using Paul's service allowed me to purchase my home with knowledge of what to expect, accept or required to be fixed.

Paul got to the site before we did and was ready to go.  He checked and tested everything that could be checked and tested, including things I didn't even know could be tested.  He pointed out many scuffs, bumps, etc that weren't part of his official inspection since they were purely aesthetic, but he made sure we saw them.  He took the time to thoroughly discuss all his findings with us and inform us about the different ways the issues might be addressed so we could determine how/if we wanted to approach the seller on each item.  His final report was thorough and included photos of troublesome items.  Paul is passionate about what he does--his claim that he inspects every home as if he's the one buying it was 100% true for ours.  I felt like we got every penny's worth out of his service and highly recommend him as a home inspector.

I e-mailed Paul to get a quote for the home inspection well before I had the offer in on the house.  He was very responsive and gave me a quote pretty quickly.  Once I had the offer accepted, I contacted him about a date and he got back to me quickly.  The day of, I was early to the appointment and he still beat me there.
I am extremely detail oriented and I tend to ask a lot of questions.  He answered each and every one of them, and we still finished earlier than the quoted time.  He is very knowledgeable about not only the things you would find in a home inspection, but he knows the building codes, construction techniques, and other home items very well.  The report he put together was very detailed, included pictures, and he stressed multiple times I could contact him if I had any questions on the report.
Overall, Paul was great to work with and is very knowledgeable.  I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a thorough home inspection.

He was on time for the appointment and provided a very comprehensive 34 page report (including pictures) on what he found. We were very pleased with him and recommended him to our daughter and son-in-law as well as our son-in-law's brother since then. All were very pleased with his performance and considered his price reasonable

Ignoring our Realtor's(R) recommendations for inspectors, I did a search here and chose Paul based on previous reviews. The previous reviewers were not wrong. Paul does have a reputation for being thorough and cautious and he lives up to that. He was extremely professional from start to finish, taking plenty of time to answer questions during and after the inspection. I have no doubt that we had the most thorough inspection possible. Paul is extremely knowledgeable in home construction and codes. We will definitely recommend him to others seeking quality inspection services and not a rubber stamp.

Called Paul and arranged for a home inspection at a foreclosure we were interested in buying. He was available the same day. He arrived early and started early. Very professional, but also, friendly and knowledgable. He started with the outside of the house and inspected all the way around. Then he noticed what appeared to look like some structure/foundation damage due to water not properly draining down the hill. He then went inside to the basement and right out saw that the inside wall was moving inward. He recommended we get an structural engineer to look at the damage. At this point, we were no longer interested in the rest of the inspection, not to mention, purchasing the home. He gave us the option to opt out of the rest of the inspection and to only pay for the work he did. We were very happy with how he performed the inspection and that he didnt try to get every penny he could out of us. He had the report ready the same day via email with pictures and details.  We were able to opt out of our contract for the home. We had him inspect another home for us 1 month later. We have been very impressed with ATS Home Inspection! I highly recommend him. He will find things that not everyone would care about and does a complete job at listing every problem he finds and describing it and including pictures.

Your realtor probably will not recommend Paul because he is not going to "rubber stamp" your home. He will find all of the problems that you will want to know about that might keep you from buying a lemon. There are a LOT of inspectors around town who will do a cursory inspection, comment on a few items here and there (so you feel like you got your moneys worth) and rubber stamp the deal. Your realtor WILL recommend those inspectors. I would definitely use Paul if you want a thorough inspection. He inspects the house as if he was buying it himself.

I knew the house was in rough shape because of its age and was prepared for many problems. However, Paul identified problems that looked like assets origionally. What I like about Paul is that he works independantly of realtors. He is not there to preserve any "deal." I want to know exactly what I'm getting in to with a house. He gave me pictures, narratives, and sources for information. He told me if something was dangerous and needed immediate attention, or if it was something that could eventially be addressed. Paul probably saved my family 30K. We walked away from that house. Probably the best $365.00 I've spent in a long time.
