I just move into this home, and had replaced my thermostat. When my furnace would not come on, I assumed the new thermostat had been wired incorrectly, and called that provider to come look at it. They told me that the induction motor (I think) on my furnace was bad, and they could replace it Monday for $550. It was Friday and the weekend was forecast to get down to 30. I asked about possibly repairing it that day and was told sure, but it will cost more - $750. And that they couldn't guarantee that if they got that part working that something else would not turn up wrong with the furnace. I told them I needed to think about it, and they provided me a quote for a new furnace - $5800 for a 3.5 ton, 88 percent efficient Carrier. Lucky me, I called Tim for a second opinion. He told me on the phone that the competitors price for the motor sounded high, and that he was certain he could get it working for less than that. He stayed on the phone with me while I crawled into the crawlspace to try to give him the info he needed, and he came up that afternoon. He was able to get my furnace started without replacing the part, and charged me $185 to do so. But the really amazing part comes next - he told me my heat exchanger was cracked and that he would recommend I consider replacing my furnace, but that he could not do that work for me because he was not insured to work on propane. He connected me with another company who did, who replaced my furnace AND my air conditioner with a heat pump - the furnace rated for 4 tons and 92 percent efficiency, for $5800. I was so impressed that Tim did not replace and charge me for a part even though I would have known no better, and instead got the one working that I had, and then recommended another provided to replace my furnace to his financial detriment. You just don't see that level of integrity that much, anymore. Well, I need to correct that - the person he recommended referred me back to Tim to take out a mini split I no longer need, add one to a four season porch that I have and replace my humidifier. Such nice people to work with.

Our HVAC unit went out this morning. I called and spoke to Tim and he was at our house within an hour of calling him to begin repairs. Also, today is a Saturday. I couldn't believe how quick our service was. I would definintly hire again. He was able to replace the fan motor within an hour and our AC is working great now. Tim was very nice and good with dogs too. I am very impressed with this company.

First of all, Tim is a delight! He actually did significant trouble shooting on the phone with me and taught me how to fix the problem if it happened again (i.e. Without him)! As a first time homeowner I was nervous but Tim was really encouraging and went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

The previous owners had done a very poor DIY self installation of the old unit. This required a significant amount of extra work be done to "fix" the connection at the house before the new unit could be installed. It was all taken care of quickly, professionally, and at a much more reasonable price than other quotes!

Going into a weekend when we were expecting family members for a weeklong visit, our main AC unit downstairs stopped cooling. Everyone we called didn't want to come out until Monday. We called Air Maintenance and Tim fixed the unit, was very professional, and gave us a very fair price. We would definitely use him again!

Excellent. He responded quickly, was friendly and professional, and told us exactly what the problem was and the cost to fix it. He didn't try to upsell, and fixed our a/c unit quickly. We will be using him to replace our furnace and would highly recommend.

Tim arrived on time as promised. Inspected unit. Determined fan motor required replacing. Tim had a new motor on hand and replaced it quickly. Tim is very professional and friendly. Outstanding service.

Tim was recommended to us by a neighbor who owns several rental properties and uses him exclusively.  Our furnace quit on Friday morning.  After trying to contact a couple of other service technicians to take a look at it (on a cold day), we called Tim mid afternoon.  He came by that evening, had the part with him, and had our heat working in 20 minutes.  He was very courteous and friendly, and was even able to make three cold kids laugh.

Tim charged up my freon and used some "fix a flat" on my unit to slow down a leak.  This was about two months ago.  I called him again today because the unit stopped blowing.  My drain pan was full in the attic.  He pumped the water out of it and verified that everything was working properly.  And he didn't charge me for the return visit!  
I know he and I both wish we knew exactly what caused the unit to stop working, but I was very impressed that he didn't charge me today.  I would happily have paid for a service call.

Tim had done small jobs for my parents when they were alive, and I was always comfortable having him work for them. My niece and my sister also call Tim for HVAC-related needs.

Tim did a great job for me and my family.  I was away on business when my wife called and told me the AC was out in the middle of the summer.  Tim made it out to my house (Soddy Daisy) to add coolant and provided me with options.  Excellent work by Tim and his helper.  I've now had my new AC unit in for over 6 months with no issues.

Great service.  Worth the wait.  I discussed my issues with him over the phone and he said he couldn't get to me same day since my AC unit was working, just not very well at the time of my initial call.

HISTORY:Tim was recommended to us 12 years ago when we moved to the Chattanooga area. We used his services for our home (built in 1992) HVAC unit several times over the years and he replaced the original house HVAC unit in 2004. About 2 months ago our A/C unit wasn't cooling as it should.
THE OTHER GUYS:My husband called a well known Chattanooga HVAC company and they came out to check out the problem. They said the freon was low and loaded 2 lbs. Not only did they strongly encouraged my husband to replace the 8 year old unit but also the upstairs unit that was good! This was to cost about $10,000!Shortly after their visit the unit quit completely...coincidence?
THE GOOD GUY:I called Tim to come out and give his assessment. It took him 10 minutes to find the problem and replace the part causing the problem for $94.  After talking with Tim we found out that his freon is $15 per pound less than what we paid. He also said there was no reason to replace either unit.
I will only use Tim for my HVAC needs.

The diagnosis and temporary fix went without a problem.
