 + -1 moreThey meet with the family member or members, set a date for the sale and start to work cleaning out closets, basements, attics, etc. They price and mark everything and are equipped to display and arrange a beautiful sale. The family just has to allow them access to the location to clean out, clear out, haul off garbage, etc. At the sale they help customers load furniture or attend to whatever needs arise. They charge 25% of collections. They also advertise extremely well and their listings are on estatesales.net as well as other venues. They run their sales on Friday and Saturday and the family gets their check Monday! If you are a buyer, I suggest you follow their sales. They are already developing quite a following because they do not over price but certainly do not under price. They price according to value but respect today's economy and customers. They are as good to the customer as they are with the family. These folks have high ethical standards and are very honest. If they find money hidden or valuable items they notify the family immediately. No secrets or sneaky stuff with this group. The best part is they are pleasant and fun to do business with! They get an A+!!
Description of Work: I am a social worker and often in need of finding an honest, reliable Estate Sales group for my families. Affordable Estate Sales personel provide an incredible service of helping the families sell the belongings/esate of their older family members who have passed on or moved into another location such as assisted living. They are kind, caring and take excellent care of not only the items they are selling but the family as well. I spent two weeks with them learning how they start and end their services. I can not give any comment or recommendation other than they provided me with one of the best experiences of my life! They are down to earth, intelligent and if they don't know the answer to the value of an item, they research or contact experts who do. This group headed by Tony and Jarita Norman are nothing less than fantasic. When I needed them after my father passed away, I could not have been more comforted or pleased and they made me a lot of money and sold almost everything. Now I have a cleaned out house and it is time to renovate! Thanks and hats off to Affordable Estate Sales. Call 423-619-0772. DON'T TRY THIS YOURSELF!!! They know what they are doing and the family comes out much better financially, physically and emotionally. I would not think of referring any other company.
