The driver would not come to my home though the company said door to door. I gave him the address for a local grocery store with a large parking lot. He wanted me to watch to make sure he could get my car onto the top ramp. He went back and forth and after a few attempts, my clutch began to burn. White smoke was coming from under the hood and from beneath. He wanted me to tell him if he was clear. I am not an expert at loading cars. After many tries, he gunned it and bottomed out our car. He immediately jumped out of the car and got in my fast to tell me that it was all my fault. I asked him to write the damage on the bill of lading. He said that he was not going to take it on the chin for this. I finally persuaded him to write the damage down. I contacted the company and they were not contacting me back. Finally yesterday, I found out from our insurance agent that the driver has changed his story and has said that the car could not go up top and that I insisted. The owner of the company, James Peterson stated that they have Progressive for insurance, but after investigation it appears that they may have Calpel Point National. We have no idea where our car is at this point.
