Requested an estimate to install a shower door on 1/5/21. Contractor arrived and delivered estimate 1/8/21; price was fair. Given a rough date of "late January early February" for install. They cashed the deposit check early and didn't contact me until I reached out on 2/1/21. I was then told the install date would be 2/22/21, but I would be contacted if they could move it up. No contact received, so I called back 2/2/21, was told they couldn't change the schedule, so I cancelled the service and was informed I'd be charged a 10% cancellation fee even though they missed their own estimated timeline. Definitely won't go anywhere near this "service" again. Out 10% and wasted a month for absolutely nothing.

First, we were told the professional would arrive at noon, but they showed up at 2:15PM. There seemed to be a miscommunication that it should have been "any time after noon" but instead we were told noon. One of the owners had come out previously and given an estimate for replacing a 20 AMP with a 30 AMP to the garage. Upon arrival, the service professional told me that the owner misquoted, and it was $125 for just the first hour, and would go up from there if it took longer plus materials. So, I was already on alert that something shady was going on. The service professional, however, was polite and knowledgeable. After inspection, he told me that the wire wouldn't support a 30 AMP and there was really nothing that could be done (which I find it odd that the owner of the business couldn't determine, since it was his recommendation to replace with a higher AMP--and the only reason we even scheduled the visit). The service professional kindly offered to call the owner to see if he could get the service fee reduced, because he wasn't able to do anything, and after about 20-30 mins of holding and waiting for the owners to return the call, said they weren't willing to drop the rate. So, we paid $125 for someone to come out to perform the service the OWNER told us we needed, only to be told they can't do it and the OWNER wanted to charge the full price anyway for the service we can't get. If the owner doesn't know enough about the services he's providing estimates for, he shouldn't be the one doing estimates. And certainly shouldn't be charge full price for a service call he tricked us into. DO NOT USE. They are not professional or ethical. As noted, the service professional who came out was fully transparent and tried to be kind and honest, it's the owners who are shady and can't be trusted! USE ANOTHER COMPANY. Also, we were given a form to fill out on the spot and I felt very pressured to leave a good review while the technician looked on, which was really awkward considering I was not happy at all. I gave him good ratings, but said I wasn't comfortable reviewing the rest.

The job started and finished on time and on schedule. The workers were extremely courteous and professional. During the excavation process, an unforeseen problem arose with an existing lamp post and buried wiring. They did not even hesitate in helping solve the problem correctly and the wiring is now better protected than it was before this job. I have had more than one person comment on the concrete work, even a complete stranger. The work matches exactly with the slope and height of the existing drive. Aside from the new look, both slabs look as one. The finish, contour and quality of work using proper materials for the job was exceptional. The work exceeded my expectations.

The Honey Do Service, Inc. is a licensed and insured General Contractor which only builds quality construction with the best warranty in the industry. Was your builder a licensed General Contractor? Did he get the new deck permitted? Did he use premium lumber with the proper sized galvanized hardware? Did the size or scope of the job change? Good job - we were pleased with the bathroom tile flooring job. It was too cold that day to paint the window frames, so the worker returned promptly when the weather warmed to do that job.

I've used Honey Do Service of Kingsport three times and I've been disappointed by them all three times. I won't be using them again. For our kitchen cabinets, some of the handles weren't lined up correctly. They came back to fix the problem. We've also used them to install a door on our mobile home, and they broke the handle while they were putting it in. They fixed that, as well. We also called them in the past to check out an electrical short and he didn't do a whole lot. We had someone else fix it within an hour.

I had purchased a drop-in range to replace my 25 year old one. The new one was shorter and wider than the old one so the install could not be done by the store where I purchased the range. The countertop had to be modified and a base bulit. The owner and the project person came out and gave me an initial free estimate and I then scheduled the work. The craftsman was very polite and professional and answered all of my questions. He also did an excellent job and I will call them again when I need any other updates/fixes.

Gregg did exactly as I asked him to. He provided a detailed estimate for the two privacy fences from the sides of our home to the chain link fence. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. He also suggested a fence company might be more affordable. I appreciated that very much and, even though the estimate was a little too expensive for us right now, we will not hesitate to call on them for other "honey do" projects that might come up in the future.

Tear down of old wood was haphazard, causing some damage to the door next to the deck. Overall construction of the new deck was good; they reinforced my framing and did a very good job on the railing around the deck. At times, they seemed at odds with the owner and complained a lot about their treatment. They worked together well, though. The work was done in an efficient, neat fashion for the most part. They finished on time.
They did NOT wear a uniform and were only marginally professional in their demeanor and work.
Since this job, I have asked for estimates for other work, but they have been extremely high; the last estimate was given by a poorly- dressed, smelly employee whom my wife did not like to let in the house.
