While we are generally pleased with the final result, getting there was much more painful than necessary. The quality of a contractor is dependent upon the quality of the subs and we did not have a great experience with the project management or some of the subs. Specifically, the project sat idle for several weeks between demolition and start of construction. All materials had been ordered and delivered but no work was performed for an extended period of time. We finally had to call and start making noise before a new project manager was assigned and work resumed. Additionally, several errors were made by the plumber. Superior barely acknowledged and definitely did not apologize for the errors and delays. A project started in early September still left us without the use of 2 of our 3 bathrooms during the holiday season. They did work hard the week before Christmas to make it so the bathrooms could be used as we had several guests in. I believe the company is professional and polite. Additionally, they have a new design showroom that will probably make selection of materials much easier. Just make sure you stay on top of them from a project management perspective and closely check the work to ensure it is consistent with the design and specs.

You're not supposed to like your contractor at the end of a remodeling project, but we found our experience with Superior to be pleasant and predictable throughout. Extensive project pre-planning resulted in an on-time and on-budget completion, with minimal drama. Pre-demolition selection of all materials and finishes was time consuming and in some instances difficult, but it resulted in a firm estimate of the total costs that we could expect. Their team was great at helping consider all the possibilities both in finishes and sub-contractor. Multiple quotes were obtained and this allowed us to make good decisions with regard to overall project scope and budget constraints. I can't say enough good about the sub-contractors that Superior provided. With only one minor exception, all of the subs were extremely conscientious, honest, and hard working. We have re-hired some of them for follow-on projects on the house. Many of the subs were small-business and/or minority owned, and their determination and attention to detail was remarkable. Throughout the process, the folks at Superior did an outstanding job of managing the time line and the product quality. The house was originally built by a large, well-known custom manufacturer. We had repeated problems both in supervision and product quality, resulting in numerous re-work issues. I was prepared for the worst, but instead was overwhelmed with the dedicated, professional, and hands-on leadership provided by the folks at Superior. I seldom feel compelled to provide "glowing" recommendations for work that I have contracted, but in Superior's case it is well deserved. I would not hesitate to hire them again for a major project and have wholeheartedly recommended them to several friends. Touring the custom homes that they produce through Superior Construction, LLC, cemented our initial positive impression of them as a homebuilder. The accolades we get from those that see our remodeled home brings home their expertise in that venue as well. Outstanding work!
