1. Either did not show or was very late each day they were here. I had to call each day to get them here.

2. Very bad job.  Paint and stain all over the bricks and roof and windows and screens and shrubbery.

3. Demanded payment before they would leave my yard.  When boss showed he agreed bad job and said they would make it good. Though I called every day for a month, they never returned!

4.  Did NOT scrape or prime.  Paint began to peel the next day.

The painting company was called Sharper Impressions Panting Co and they were great. The crew was very courteous. They had a lot of restoration work to do, our house is mainly sidings and there was lot of spaces so they had to do a lot of restoration there, they were patient and courteous and they did excellent work. It looks beautiful. We are like the showcase of the neighborhood now. They did great cleaning up after work.

Overall the service was inconsistent, disorganized and disruptive.    We contacted Dean to get a quote for painting the outside of our home in July hoping to get this done while we were away on vacation. He came by and took pictures and did an estimate but I never saw him in person ( we were at home when he was by).   By the end of August we still had not talked to anyone concerning paint color although someone had dropped off a sample wheel at the house. We had a good deal of difficulty arranging a time for the painting to begin which he said would take 2 days after power washing.  Calling the office was not helpful, he answered his cell phone occasionally and never appeared in person despite the problems.  A team came for one day and did not know what they were painting or which colour. Communicating with them was difficult.  They then did not return for several days.  Dean did not know this so arranged for another team to appear who finished the job. They painted some natural wood siding with paint although I am certain he mentioined that they would just use sealer on the wood siding. That was a surprise. It turned out that we did need to be home to get the painting done because every window and door needed to be open and the alarm off for several days.  The entire job was disorganized and highly disruptive for the household.

.Before this pathetic company caused any further damage to my property, i threw them off!! This company did nothing but misrepresent themselves from the moment they arrived until they were demanded to leave.
1.They promised there would be a crew here every day. 90% of the time they were here, there was ONE PERSON. That does not constitute a crew. The painter that was here had his girlfriend with him to help out. She was not a licensed painter.
2. When they had more than one person here, these 2/20 year old spilled paint all over and try to cover it under mulch or dirt; allowing the paint to run off in my underground drain. NOT GOOD for the environment. Never cleaned it up. I found it 2 weeks later during a rain storm.
3. The 'painter Alan' assigned here scratched my very large picture window either when he took it off or when he attempted to put it back up. When questioned, he rant and screamed at me (home owner) and made threats and started making price changes to the point where I demanded he leave my property at which time he followed me in my backyard continuing screaming at me. I was shocked when he then too a scraper and began chiseling the new paint off my brick. He was a lunatic. Had to call the owner Dean and demand he get to my home and remove his unprofessional employee. As a disabled person, I was threatened and felt not safe with this person on my property. The owner Dean finally showed up and had him collect his equipment and leave. This individual even made threats against me in front of his boss. As a bone cancer survivor with a torso medical wrap visible, I was totally helpless in defending myself. If the owner did not remove him from my property, I would have followed through calling Metro Police.
4. They broke numerous storm windows and brought them to another company for repair. Only when I demanded the name of the company, is when they told me. They also forced the placement of my large picture window frame causing it to severely bend which then had to be taken down and rehung by the glass co that foxed all of the broken storm windows. BUT they never paid for the damages and I was stuck with a $600+ bill. I then had to hire another company to rehang the remaining storm windows (95%).
5. They said they finished all ext painting but when I walked around, there were numerous places that were never painted. I had to hire another painter to finish their incomplete work. Cost me another $400+.
6. They changed the pricing on the agreement and then filed a lien against my home.
7. The matter has been turned over to my lawyer for all damages, misrepresentation, altering a signed agreement.
DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY ON ANY CONDITION! THEY HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO THE BBB/NASHVILLE & ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. THEY ARE THE WORST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN THE 30+ YEARS AT MY HOME!

Sharper Impressions (Dean Yoder) came when they said they would and provided the estimate in a professional and comprehensive manner. They were polite, courteous, professional and took the time to fully assess what we wanted done. Their recommendations were good and made not to jack up the price but to provide legitimate information about what needed to be done for our consideration.  Everything we discussed and the job they quoted was put in writingWe agreed on scheduling and their crew showed up early. They were diligent, through, polite, professional and provided excellent quality service. They took their time and pressure washed the entire exterior and carefully prepared all surfaces, caulked windows, repaired any damaged or rotted out wood.   It was a three day job by a crew of 5. Each day they worked long hours in less than ideal weather (hot!), and each night when they left, they left no trace of having been there. The work area in and around the house was always clean, materials put away and trash disposed of.The house looks great. The painting was neat and without spills or blemishes. A totally professional job at a fair, competitive and reasonable price.   Dean Yoder was professional, communicative and willing to go the extra step to ensure customer satisfaction. I can honestly and completely endorse Sharper Impressions Painting and recommend them without hesitation.

Very professional and an extremely polite crew. Everything done as advertised. They were not the cheapest price but not a lot higher. We have a large house with 56 windows. For the quality of work it was a good value.

Significant pre was necessary as the original paint on the trim was old and peeling.  They pressure washed, scraped and sanded down rough patches so the new paint would blend in as well as possible and they replaced areas where they discovered dry rot wood.  The crew was punctual, professional, hard-working and finished on scheudle and on budget.  I would use Sharper Impressions again for interior or exterior painting at my home and I highly recommend Dean Yoder and his crew.

There was some back-and-forth about the scope of the project, which I changed after the first coat, but they were fair in their pricing, and did the work when they said they would.

MY BAD! YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! MR. YODER WAS VERY NICE, POLITE, NEAT AND TIDY, WELL PREPARED FOR THE ESTIMATE AND SEEMED VERY PROFESSIONAL. I WASN,T LOOKING FOR A BARGAIN PRICE BUT HIS DID SEEM LOW. I THOUGHT HE WAS PROBABLY FAST AND EFFICIENT, AND IT WAS A SMALLER SPACE SO THAT'S WHY THE PRICE WAS LOW. ANYWAY THE PAINTERS WERE PUNCTUAL, AND FAST. MR. YODER WAS NOT PRESENT. THEY DID NOT PAINT THE CLOSET WELL. AFTER THEY FINISHED IT WAS PATCHY AND I COULD SEE THE OLD SURFACE THROUGH IT. THEY DID NOT PAINT THE MOLDING AND QUARTER ROUND AT ALL. I ASKED THEM TO, AND TO PAINT THE TINY SHELVES WHICH THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. ALSO THEY HAD PAINTED THE CABINETS WHITE BUT LEFT THE UNDERSIDES DK BROWN, AND SINCE THEY WERE AT OR ABOVE EYE LEVEL, THIS WAS VISIBLE. VERY UGLY TO MY EYE.THEY AGREED TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. SOME WERE DOING THIS AS OTHERS WERE CLEANING UP AND REMOVING SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT TO LEAVE. THEY ASKED ME TO FILL OUT A SURVEY QUICKLY, WHILE ONE WAS STILL IN THE ROOM FINISHING UP. THEY ASSURED ME EVERYTHING WOULD BE DONE TO MY SATISFACTION. I GAVE THEM A PERFECT SCORE AS THEY WERE VERY NICE AND SEEMED TO BE DOING WHAT I WANTED. WHEN THEY LEFT AND THE PAINT WAS DRY IT WAS HORRIBLY STREAKED ACROSS THE MOLDING, SOME AREAS THICK AND DRIPPY, SOME UNPAINTED. THE LITTLE SHELVES ARE AT OR ABOVE EYE LEVEL AND THEY HAD BEEN PAINTED WHITE, THE UNDER PORTION WAS LEFT UNPAINTED AND WAS DK BROWN. I DIDN'T BOTHER TO CALL THEM BACK. HAD IT REDONE BY SOMEONE ELSE. I THINK THE PAINTERS WERE NICE, BUT OF MARGINAL SKILL AND POSSIBLY LOW PAID, SOME DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.

I felt that they were a little messy. We weren't really pleased with this company. Also, the first they were supposed to be at our house at 8, but they ended up coming much later.

They were very professional from start to finish. The foreman, Miguel, even helped pick out a color that has elicited glowing compliments from my neighbors.

The two painters were incredibly organized and professional. They got everything taped and the carpet covered in a couple of hours. I thought this would be a 10 hour job but they started around 9:00 am and were done by around 3:00 pm. They sure knew what they were doing. I'd hire them again in a nanosecond.

Company gave an extremely professional contract offer, within 30 minutes of examination of the job. Company performed the contract VERY WELL and within the time frame they had promised. The job was to paint the exterior of a very large wood house. The crew, led by foreman Michael, was conscientious, efficient and tidy on the job site. We could not recommend anyone more highly.

They were quick and thorough. We received three bids and Sharper Impressions was substantially less expensive than the other companies. My only complaint is they left paint on the windows, which they promised to remove but have yet to actually send someone out to clean it off.
