trying to save someone else from a very bad experience with a review here... the agent was too young to handle the job, being more interested in the UT football games on the weekend and his career aspirations at his father's real estate agency responsiveness was terrible -- had to badger him to get MLS listing posted with photos and updates; had to have photos re-taken and listing resubmitted when there were no offers for over two months local market knowledge was terrible -- made a pie-in-the-sky listing price suggestion that artificially and unreasonably set our hopes too high; neighbors on same street with comparable homes and square footage sold in four weeks; ours took four months. our home only got an offer when he brought on someone he called a junior partner (she REALLY knew the market and how to sell a home! -- sadly, she was only an affiliate broker; but she was exceptionally qualified and professional; she handled the re-listing and photo re-shoot when the original listing was three months of wasted time; very sorry we didn't know her Day One) finally, just a suggestion, if your broker arrives in shorts and flip-flops for a showing with a prospective buyer, you are probably working with the junior partner...
