Landscaping
Ellen gave us a proposal that seemed reasonable but when she started the work she was very disorganized and made up the job as she proceeded. The stock that she brought out looked pitiful but she said it was winter stock and would do well. The stock never leafed out except for around the base and Ellen was called back to check on it. She said two were dead and she would reimburse me for them. She never sent a check! The rest of the stock went on to die and she has not compensated me for them (about $1500). The rock she brought in was not well planned and the moving equipment got stuck twice and had to be towed out by a winch (twice),costing $88, which I never was reimbursed. In the process the rock mover ran over a rain puddler ($25) and again no compensation. She charged $7/hr but without putting her on the clock there is no reasonable way of estimating her actual working time, because she spent the majority of her time planning (eye) what to do next more than physical work.
