Fox Ridge Homes

Fox Ridge Homes are very good. They are going to build a quality house, it's just not quite what I was looking for. One concern I have with their worker, they were falling behind in schedule. I think they are a good builder. They were on the short list. They were about #2 or 3 home builders I was also considering.

Great experience with this company.   Took about 4 months from when I signed the original papers till the time I closed and moved in.

Was very informative and far from pushy.  Responded quickly to my questions and concerns. Spent the time to assure I was 100% happy with my choices.

Mortgage company:
I used their associated mortgage company which made this a very smooth process.  They worked well together and made this process painless. Also received some very nice perks for using their mortgage company.

Building process:
Project manager (John) was very professional and knowledgeable.  He addressed all my questions & concerns and kept me updated every step of the way.  He identified a few items on the walk thru that I missed and a few things he wanted redone. Almost felt like it was his house we were examining.  As with all projects a few things did not go 100% to plan.  They were quickly rectified and never delayed the build.  I turned in my 30 day check list a few days ago and they completed the repairs in a few days.

they are turly unmatched. Their communication was immpecable. I was over 700 miles aways and were still able to do everything. They called me every week and sent me pictures with updates.

Things went well. Although the scheduling was a bit iffy, it was built well within the time-limit they promised. (Our salesperson told us it might be done by August, it was finished by the first week of October, etc.) Fox Ridge representatives were always happy to meet with us to talk or to walk us through the construction site. They have been really great about answering questions and taking care of us. Our warranty continues through until October of 2009, and so far, they have done everything we have asked. In the last few months (2-3 months into ownership) we had a problem with rainwater leaking into the garage. It took a couple of different attempts, but Fox Ridge was finally able to solve the problem. The first time, they siliconed around the door again (the side door, not the one that raises and lowers). When that didn't fix the problem, it looked like the water was actually coming under the concrete pad outside the door. So, Fox Ridge pulled the pad, re-graded the area outside the door, re-poured the pad and then seeded and covered the area. Since then, we haven't had the problem again.

Building from a different state was hell. The sales people were awful and we even switched people, but still they were worthless. They knew nothing and never had any answers. After closing, we were very impressed. We love our house and love seeing the people in the model often. They are very friendly too. Anytime we need anything they are there.

It was absolutely awful. We had so many problems. The deck had to be rebuilt, there were big bugs in between the window pains, the hardwood floor in the living room warped because of moisture, the foundation wasn't sealed.
