COMPLETE HOME INSPECTIONS

Michael was hired to perform a radon test and home inspection. Upon making the appointment, he to encouaged me to come for the last 30 minutes of the inspection and provided a 3 hour window for the inspection. I arrived almost an hour prior to the end of the inspection to find that he was not there! I immediately called him and he said he had just left becuase it didn't take as long as he expected and he got there early. Not acceptable. His website boasted a 200% satisfaction guarantee. Well, I was not satisfied, so I emailed him my complaint. He called (only at the request of my realtor who originally recommended him) and finally agreed to refund my money as he acknowledged that while he had a bad personal day it was not professional of him to act as he did. He also tried to assure me that nothing was wrong with his inspection. Since I did not trust the job that had been done due to my experience, I hire another company to perform an additional inspection (afterall, his website said if I wasn't happy, he'd pay for another company). After receiving the report from both inspections, I found that the other company had found multiple things that Michael did not (not surprised!) and while the other company was a bit more expensive, they actually climbed on the roof and went everywhere physically possible to inspection the house, unlike Michael. It has been two months and I have not seen the refund and he has not responded to my followup. Please save your time, energy, and money and use someone else!
