A HELPING HAND

There was something wrong with my air-conditioner and the water was leaking from the ceiling and ruined the ceiling and it spoiled the whole of my wall and my carpet as well. Then A Helping Hand came in and did all the work like sheet rock, painting the interior and they also cleaned the some of the carpet as well and did the entire job and I was very pleased with their work. They seemed to be on top of things. They were very good, conscientious. They were very honest as well because I had left my key in the door so that they could come in to do the work even when I was not there. They were very efficient. They did a good job. I didn’t have any complains with them. I would rate them high overall. I would definitely use them again in the future.

This repair had to be done over a 3 day period because the compound had to dry between coats. The crew came on time, did a wonderful job on the walls and actually cleaned up the mess and put a primer coat of paint over the repaired areas.

Shannon came out to look at the problem and give me an estimate the same day I called. I was concerned about getting the roof fixed before another rain and she was willing to work with me on that concern. Her crews were on another job but she assured me that if there was a forecast of any rain she would pull someone off the job and get my roof fixed before the rain. We had no rain so her crew came in about 3 days. The job was done professionally and in the time frame and estimate promised. A couple of weeks after this, the roof was tested by a moderate rain and all was dry.

The owner of the company was so considerate and answered all my silly questions. I have had so many contractor disasters over the years that I now ask a lot of questions. Shannon answered all of them as if that was the most important part of the job. Her workers were here when she said they would be and they worked all day until every last nail was picked up and disposed of.

The owner, Shannon Servin, was quick to respond to my call for help, as I was having a difficult time finding someone to help me in Knoxville with a fair estimate and a deadline to meet(wanted it finished before our house appraisal). Not only did she come from Chattanooga, but remained until the job was completed. However, best of all, she was professional, concerned, and thorough. Her employees worked continuously hard and never skipped a beat. I felt I could completely trust them within our home, which is great as I could not be there most of the time. Last but not least, the end result was beautiful and I love how my house looks! We have compliments from neighbors on how great the house looks. I highly recommend A Helping Hand and plan to use them again when we do our roofing.

I contacted this company for a quotation and they promptly issued the quote. We scheduled the work to begin on a Thursday morning, and they arrived early for the job and were working hard when I got up! The pressure washing of the entire house was done first. They moved all my outside furniture and plants out of the way before beginning any work. This brick house was pressure washed, along with the eaves and facia boards, and it now looks like a new house. Knowing that the sunroom needed painting, I contracted with them to paint the outside and this was spray painted - without any spray-over whatsoever. They even hand painted around the windows and all the door facings. They then painted the shutters by hand and did a beautiful job. Their representative doing the work was very nice and cooperative. His work was quick and efficient, and any questions that I had were immediately answered. They seem to work very hard at pleasing the customer, and really seem to know what they are doing and the best way to do the job. In other words their experience and knowledge of their job really shows! After they finished with this job I checked it all the way around, and found, to my pleasure, that the iron railings and columns on the front porch did not need to be repainted at this time - they were just incredibly dirty, and A Helping Hand, via pressure washing, had eliminated this job for me. I will have many other projects, both inside and outside this home, that need to be done - and I will definitely call Shannon Servin at A Helping Hand to come back and do these jobs for me. Their work is first class!

Cleaned up after themselves, very professional crew, showed up on time, did all I asked of them.
