I was only a few miles from L and M Motors (exiting the Lowes parking lot) when my shifter cable seemed to just snap into. I could not shift the car's gears, as the shifter just flopped around like it was broken!
I managed to 'limp' on over a few miles to L and M Motors where I spoke with Terry, the Service Manager, and I explained my situation to him. It was at lunch time, so he said he'd have a mechanic take a look at it as soon as one returned from lunch. Before I even realized it, the car had been pulled inside the shop.
Upon closer inspection, it was revealed that a plastic bushing had snapped into on the shifter-end of the shifting cable. Since Chrysler only sells the cable assembly as a whole, the individual plastic bushings are not available from them.
Terry said now that they knew what the problem was, he would see if they could source just the bushings from somewhere else in town saving me the cost of an entire shifting cable assembly. Since it was now in the afternoon, he recommended I take a loaner car home for the evening and they'd do their best to get me back on the road promptly.
Sure enough, the next morning he called and said my PT Cruiser was all fixed up and ready to go once again.
L and M Motors offers stellar vehicle service and I'm so happy to have a reliable, trustworthy and economic car service I can trust in town. We have purchased two PT Cruisers from L and M Motors and plan to make our future car purchases there as well. 100% satisfied with this dealership.

Pickup was very hard to start when cold, acted like a stretched timing chain.
Called Land M Motors and they agreed to take a look at it that afternoon. Finally got the truck started and drove it to dealership, dropping it off late that afternoon for a repair estimate.
First thing the next morning, they informed us the main problem was a faulty distributor and the spark-plugs and wires needed replacing as well.
After I was given an estimate of the associated costs involved, I gave them the go-ahead to acquire the parts since they were not a Chevrolet dealer.
The following day, they had the truck all repaired and running perfect once again.
Employees are very knowledgeable, polite and efficient.
