Storey's crew replaced my driveway three months ago. Ever since, I have been trying to get Chris to have someone reset my brick flower bed border (with mortar) that his Bobcat operator dislodged in a few places while removing the old concrete. Pros: nice finished product (driveway, that is), proper slope for drainage. Cons: crew entered my garage and helped themselves to my shovel, push broom, rake, etc. and did not clean the concrete off of them at the end of the day. Crew also destroyed flower beds, left excess concrete in the yard, did not restore a lot of the existing sod, and splattered concrete on my garage door without cleaning it up. The also did not level the large paving blocks they moved near my gate. I had hoped that, at the price I paid, everything would be put back as it had been and that the crew would have been outfitted with all the tools they need. But, mostly, I am really disappointed by Chris' failure to live up to his promises to fix what his crew broke. I cannot recommend Storey Concrete.

Driveway was replaced and looks great!. Excellent job from start to finish. The whole process took one day. Out of six quotes they were second from being the cheapest. Their quote was very professional and they offer a warranty. I couldn’t be more happy with their service.

We couldn't be happier with the results and with the service we received. The crew was friendly and professional and got the work done very quickly. I had been dreading having the driveway done as I thought it would be very disruptive and messy. Mr. Storey's crew hauled off all the debris and left the place looking perfect. They went above and beyond when they fixed our sidewalk as well.

Chris and his team do an excellent job. They stay quite busy though, so it is tough to get on his calendar sometimes. The quality of the workmanship is definitely worth waiting for. Our framer told us this was the first addition he had ever done where the foundation was not out of square by even a little bit. Price seems to be fair for the work completed. This is the second concrete job we have had Storey Concrete complete for us and we would definitely use them again.

Chris Storey and his crew did a wonderful job. Chris kept me informed, via daily email, of progress and what would happen next. The driveway looks so nice that people in the neighborhood drop by to ask who did the work and we gladly refer them to Storey Concrete. Would definitely hire again.

Removed all the existing driveway including old retaining wall and installed new retaining wall and new dirveway . Chris was excellent to deal with , very professional and responsive to all my concerns . I had a section of sidewalk that was high and could cause you to trip and they even replaced that at no additional charge . I would recomend them to anyone who needs driveway work . The new dirve is perfect in apperance , workmanship and the finished product adds to the overall apperance of our home .

Chris was nice and professional. He did the services as promised. His workers kept the area as clean as they could, and when they finished, they cleaned up everything. His company is very busy, but once the work is started, it is completed as promised. Just be patient to when he can get to you.

Chris and his guys were outstanding the whole time. Chris met my budget for the work requested. It took a while for them to get out here, but ALL the concrete companies have been backed up in a really busy year. The driveway looks great and is exactly what I asked them to do. They did it fast and professionally.

"I completely and utterly disagree with this review. Quite frankly, I'm astounded by it. I need to emphasize that the customer got a FLAWLESS driveway addition at about a 75% discount. There wasn't one thing wrong with the finished product. The customer purchased a Big Deal which included 100 square feet for $699.00. The driveway addition was around 250 - 260 square feet and based on my notes, there was an additional $1,100.00 owed upon completion of the project. She disputed the bill saying that we only agreed on an additional $699 upon completion. I made the mistake and didn't get a signed contract so it's possible there was a misunderstanding on the front end. I'm a firm believer in the "customer is always right" so I adjusted the final bill to reflect this amount. Customer satisfaction always comes before your profit margin. The former has a direct result on the latter. Once I changed the invoice to reflect the reduced amount, the customer still disputed it and hasn't paid the final invoice to this day. So this was the main issue with this project. The second issue was a freebie I offered when we first met. The paid portion of the project was the driveway addition, but there was one section of her existing driveway that had settled around 3"-4" (inches). I told her we would take a look at it and attempt to fix it while we were there working on the driveway addition. Once we got on site, we noticed that we simply could not jack up the section of driveway without damaging the section so we did not do it. When the customer got her final invoice she said that we were supposed to jack it up and if it broke the section, then we were supposed to replace it at our expense. What it boils down to is the customer received about $3,000.00 worth of concrete work for $700.00 and still decided to file a negative complaint on Angie's List. We've been in business for many, many years and we know that you can't satisfy every singe customer. It just comes with the territory, but I am shocked by this review considering the great quality she received and the basement price she paid. I respect her as a customer but disagree with her review. Chris did an excellent job with coordinating all parts of the process. He was very professional. All workers did a great job and were very thorough and professional. Clean up after the driveway was completed promptly and professionally. Would highly recommend Storey Concrete.

responded to all phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner, and was present
on the day of the pour to assure quality control.
If you want your concrete done correctly and in a timely manner by a competent fully-insured
contractor (I will not let an uninsured contractor on my property), do not hesitate
to use Storey Concrete.

We are extremely happy with Chris Storey and his crew. They were very professional and did a wonderful job on the wing walls. They were able to match the washed aggregate look of the old driveway so well that it's hard to tell the difference. These new wing walls are longer and function better than the old ones which were not preventing water from washing out the dirt from under the driveway around the concrete culvert. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up the washed out areas on both sides of the driveway. I definitely would use and recommend Chris and his crew for any future concrete jobs.

Our experience with Chris Storey, his company and crew was phenomenal! They were always professional and on our first meeting it was obvious that Chris knew his business. Our yard slopes toward our house and he knew just how to frame and pour the concrete to keep the water at bay. Every phone call and email I sent was returned promptly and he could not have been more courteous and pleasant. Chris Storey did EVERYTHING he said he was going to do and then went above and beyond. Last, but not least, we were able to select a 'special' decorative blend for our concrete. I had no idea this was even an option! Our patio and walkway is beautiful and I know we will enjoy it for many years to come. I'm looking forward to having my driveway done next!

My home was built in 1930 and the driveway was spalling and crumbling it's entire length, and poor drainage left pools of water. I couldn't be happier with the work provided by Chris Storey and his crew. They demo'd old driveway on Monday, set forms on Tuesday, poured concrete on Wednesday, removed forms and cleaned-up on Friday. No rain to slow down progress! From my first email, quote, scheduling, and texts during the job, Chris responded timely and thoroughly, answered my questions, and accommodated additional request for minor repair, i.e., my front steps had a chunk of concrete broken out. His crew was able to repair the chunk and replastered the entire step so the color would be consistent. They pressure-washed the other steps to further improve color consistency. They were able to accurately grade the driveway to improve drainage. During clean-up the crew did a good job of pressure washing the splotches of cement off the side of the house, downspouts, fence, and side of deck, replaced dirt and sod on my and my neighbor's property, and washed down the street in front of my house. During demolition, the bobcat did a bit of damage to the garage door frame. The last thing done, Chris got a piece of trim and replaced the damaged piece on the door. Excellent work, experienced and professional.
