I was told the plumber would arrive at 8am, but by 8:40am a plumber had not arrived and I was ready to leave for work. I called to cancel and a few minutes later the plumber arrived. He told me that he did not have the cartridge needed for the faucet and he would need to go get one. He came back with the correct cartridge and got to work. After he fixed the faucet he went to fix the toilet. I went to test the faucet while it didn't leak, the handle rocked and had not been replaced properly. He should have seen this right away. When I asked him to look at it, he did correct it, but really that should not have been the case.
When he was done with the toilet he brought me the bill. It was around $350, but he said he did not charge me for the toilet repair. At no time did he say how much this repair was going to be. My mistake was not asking, I based what I thought it would be on prior plumbing repairs in another city. $350 for a $10-$20 cartridge is exceptionally expensive and I feel like the plumber was less than honest by not saying what the price would be up front.
Now two months later, the toilet leaks in exactly the same manner as it did before he "fixed it".

The plumber arrived on time, immediately set out to attach the new refrigerator to a water supply line, and advised us on the most reliable attachment (even though it was not the preferred procedure by the appliance store). While there, we commented on two other plumbing issues we had. The plumber was happy to address the other two issues (he had all the necessary parts with him), and was gone in no time.

We have been in our house more than twenty years and they are the ones that we have always used for our plumbing needs. There is one guy that we really like a whole lot and his name is Billy. I thought they were a bit high on this particular job, but they did do a good job cleaning up.
