+ -1 moreOveral, the job we performed was done completely. we helped finished the job on time. However, we were NOT paid.
Description of Work: My husband and I run a labor service. Mr Dockter asked for 2 electricians and 2 helpers to help on a Mcdonalds at 1720 Cumberland Ave. in Knoxville Tn because HIS workers were behind. The first day of the job was 8-15-11. As the weeks went on , everything was fine. i would bill T and T signs every two weeks because that is the way mr dockter wanted it. Then i would receive my check. However a week ago when the job was almost finished he started complaining about how much money he had lost on this job and of course just like every time we do work for him... He does the same thing. I billed him for 7112.50 for the whole two weeks and he sent me a check for 307.50. He complained that the men i sent were not capable of doing the job. But one of the men I sent was one that he WANTED. It never fails Bill Dockter is a shady character!!!!! I should have known better than to work with him again. Last Christmas I had to settle for half of what he owed me just to get any money from him.

+ -1 moreMy 90 ft high sign install was extremely sloppy. These signs were not tied down properly at all. You can't even see the signs because they are folded over so badly. I called Bill Dockter to tell him about this and he got very smart with me. They did a sorry job and refuse to do anything about it. I'm going to have to have everything completely redone. No one should do business with this man. He's totally dishonest.
Description of Work: I contracted him to fabricate a can sign (7x14) for the front of the property. It ended up being 3x12. He did the artwork and installed the sign before anyone could approve it. This has to be taken down and replaced with a new can sign now.
