Showed up on time. Mounting box for fan had been modified so he figured out how to work around it and had to go buy a couple of additional items. Installed fan in professional manner and cleaned up.

Went to second location where porch post was rotten. I agreed for him to locate and purchase a replacement and install it. His replacement post was far better than original and looks great.

High quality work and easy to work with.

Ed did a great job.  He responded to my email for an cost estimate the same day and we had it scheduled by the next day.  He showed up on time, did an excellent job.  We are very pleased and will use him again.

Ed showed up for the estimate 10 minutes late--he said he couldn't find my house.  After staying for 40 minutes he charged me $45 for the free estimate visit which surprised me.  Home Depot/LG gave me 5 subsequent delivery dates (over a month and a half) of when the microwave would be delivered, and Ed was agreeable each time which was nice.  When it finally arrived at Home Depot Ed was late again--they were in the process of putting it in my car when I saw him.  He said to put it in the back of his truck to take it to my house which I appreciated, and he set it in my garage until he had time to install it.  Ed scheduled to do the carpentry and installation work over a week later--on Wed., Oct. 16.  He was a little late to my house.  He did reconfigure his idea on how to install the microwave and had to run to HD to pick up another cabinet instead of installing the oven to the existing cabinets with an additional cost of $90.  He had originally told me it would take him 2 hours to do the work.  The final labor total was 3 1/2 hours.  So the job ended up costing a total of $367 ($45 + $322) instead of the $90 (2 hours work) he had originally thought it would cost.  Of course, the cabinet was an additional cost of $90 and was needed, but the total was a bit of surprise.  I had wished he had left me the receipts for the cabinet and the other supplies he had had to buy.  And, he had told me that he would bring pictures of a past renovation that he had done that I was interested in doing which he forgot to do.  The overall construction was excellent--I just wish we could have had better communication.

He and his associates worked steadily and rapidly. I was a builder many years ago and would not hesitate to use this man in the future. He was honest and dependable, and I would recommend him to others.

Ed was very responsive and promptly came to the house and gave a reasonable estimate.  This is a rental house and he set up the time and date with the renter.  He also allowed us to purchase our own materials. He was very easy to work with and professional at all times.

His work has always been excellent and timely. He has called to confirm appointments and is prompt each time.
We will not hesitate to call him whenever we need a job, large or small. We do not hesitate to recommend him to others when they need a professionally, reasonably priced, and timely job.
An example, the deck he expanded for us was quality work. The details he attended to make this part of our deck much more professionally completed than the original deck. His suggestions were always spot on.

Oh yes, he also found why my cell phone was not ringing. What versatility!

Ed made me feel comfortable with the remodeling process although this was a first experience and a large undertaking. He came by to provide an estimate on the job several months before I was ready to actually even begin the process and was very nice and professional. He was able to adapt quickly as on the day the day the job was to start I made several additions to the initial estimated job by adding a partial kitchen remodel. Ed also came to Knoxville with me to pick out cabinets and a bathroom vanity. I cannot say enough good things about the job that Ed did and the professionalism that he demonstrated every day.

Ed and his assistant were prompt, courteous and very professional throughout the three days it took to complete the project. They were very good about keeping the work area clean and preventing any dust from the sanding of the drywall mud from escaping to other parts of the house. I noticed a minor flaw a couple of days after the work was completed. Ed returned immediately and corrected the problem. I was very satisfied with the work performed and would recommend Ed's Odds-N-Ends of TN, Inc to my friends. I will use his services again in the near future.

We needed a door installed in our hallway and had no clue of what kind to get, or if it could be done.  We called Ed and he set up a time to come by and look at the area where we wanted.  He showed up when he had promised and told us our options and what the price of the job would be.  Ed set up a time to come by the next day after he got the door to install it.  We were extremely pleased with his quality of work.  He finished the job when he had promised and we are happy with door.  My Grandson hit the door off the track a few days after and we could not figure out how to get it back in the track.  We called Ed that day and explained that we could not get the door to stay latched and he showed up that night for a quick fix to the door and showed us what to tighten if it happened again. It was great that he cared so much to come back later that afternoon to make sure we could use it.  We will definitely use his services again soon.

We needed to have a dog door installed on a door in our house for the cats to go in out to the garage.  We bought the door that we wanted and  Ed came by and installed the door quickly.  He showed up when he had promised and did a great job installing the door.  He was very friendly and courteous while doing the job and we informed him and talked about some other jobs we needed done around the house.  We will definitely use his services again soon!

Great job - smarter, not harder as I would have done. Took care of job quickly. Will use for other maintenance on rentals.

Took longer than expected, but price did not change.  We forgot to negotiate all the painting, so we were left with that.  We are very comfortable with Ed in our home and have had him do several jobs for us.
