This is an Addendum to the review I sent earlier this week. I stand by everything I said in the original report but do feel readers should know that I received a call today from the sales person following up on the installation to make certain we were satisfied with the work that was done. He was very professional in the call. I shared with him two questions we had on the job and he told me he would come out and take a look at them and let us know if additional work needed to be done. In light of his prompt follow up once the work was done we might consider using them again but still would not recommend anyone remove their original gutters in advance even if they recommend it be done..

While the price and the quality of the product used by Dale Installation was good, getting the product installed was an ordeal that I would not wish on anyone else. We contracted with Dale to replace all of the gutters on our home. We were also having all of the house trim painted and some soffit repairs performed, so we asked the Dale salesperson the best order for the gutter installation. He told us to have all the old gutters removed, the painting and soffits repaired and then they would hang the gutters. He told us that if we would tell him when the painters could paint he could have the gutters installed within two days of the completion of the repairs and painting. We agreed to have Dale do the work and selected the color of the gutters so they would match our garage doors and new trim paint. As soon as the painters told us the dates they could come we called Dale and let them know and scheduled the gutters to be installed. We had no problem getting a scheduled installation the first time they came. Unfortunately for us, they showed up with the wrong color of guttering. Only one of the installers spoke English but he understood what my husband was telling him about the color and pulled an elbow off his truck that was the color we had ordered. I called the sales person and told him the gutters were the wrong color and that we had told the installers not to install. He then told me that they use different distributors and there is some variation in colors. I told him that we were very specific about the color we wanted and that he had never told us that he was going to order from a company, other than the one whose color sample we had selected. I also reminded him that we lived in a neighborhood that was architecturally controlled and we had to match our trim and garage door color. He then told me that he would have to order the color we wanted since they did not have any of it in their warehouse. Unfortuately, at the directions of Dale, all our prior gutters had been removed so when heavy rain began to fall our basement began to flood, a problem we had never had prior to the removal of the gutters. We called the sales person and told him of our problem and asked that something be done immediately to prevent damage. Dale not only did not do anything to help prevent damages, but told us that our installation date was being moved beyond its rescheduled date, leaving us exposed to more damage as more heavy rain was predicted to be moving into our area. We were very disappointed by Dales response to our problem since the reason we did not have gutters was due to their instructions to remove and then failure ot order the right product to replace them. When the sales person would not help us asked to speak to the CFO of the company. I was told he would have to call me back. It took several calls from me before I spoke to, Mr. Wilson, who was extremely rude and who offered no help in getting this problem resolved. It was at that point that I called the national headquarters where I spoke to, Kelly, the person over consumer complaints. She was very helpful, prompt in responses and it was her intervention with the Regional VP and ultimately Mr. Wilson, that got our gutters installed today. Had our home had gutters on it, the wait for the new product would not have been an issue, but once Dale instructed us to remove the gutters they certainly knew that our home would be vunerable to damage if storms came and they should have expedited getting the product we had purchased or put up temporary gutters in the area were water was getting into the house until the ordered product came in. Having a good product is great but having to deal with poor management does not make it worth the hassle. We do not recommend this company for guttering services because of their poor response to completing the job and their attempt to switch products on us after we had paid for the matching one.

It was very fast. It was very well done. It was very well executed. They cleaned up after themselves, which is unusual for some contractors. I would use them in the future.
