"I have never made an inflammatory comment about a customer. This one almost fits the bill for one that deserves it. First off, to my customers of many years, all one has to do is look at the majority of my reviews on here to understand how good my integrity is! They speak for themselves. Second of all, I could not understand why 6 other contractors refused to work with this woman. Now I understand. To clarify, I was NOT the one doing this work for this woman. The individual she is referring to that actually did the work has been dismissed from my employment. Not for anything this woman is claiming, but for laying around and smoking a joint with this woman! All of my customers know that I have a strict policy on this. As far as this ridiculous conversation she claims occurred, I do not know because I was not there. I DO know that the work she requested WAS finished to her specification. So much so that she signed off on the invoice! I have never been accused of being a thief and I take offense to that. I do not know what this woman problem is, and frankly, I do not care. I do care about my business and its reputation. I have all the documentation and pictures of this woman's house. Before and after. Excuse me, this woman trailer, shows the work we have done. The only correct statement she used in this review that has my name attached to it is the fact that, yes many times I have hung up on her, And had to contact the police. I have been in business for a long time. And I take my work very seriously. I apologies to my regular customers that they have to see a repulsive review such as this. And I am sorry that Angie leads did not look into this before posting it. I have a 6-page contract written up by the companies attorney that does require a deposit, and unless specified otherwise, that is it until the job is finished. If she had this so called issue about payment, she should have called ME, the owner, and I would have sorted this out. I do not appreciate her posting these lies and I do not appreciate the FORMER employee of mine, fanning the flames. Having said that, to all of my normal customers, its business as usual and I hope this unfortunate incident does not deter you from calling us back. Thank you. And again, I am sorry for this unnecessary drama."
"What Megan is not mentioning here is the fact that her money in full was returned to her. And that the reason the job was not finished was that I had to be taken by ambulance to JC med for a heart attack. While in the ambulance, she calls my company phone and is angry because the cabinets were not going to be finished by the weekend. Never mind I was on my way to the hospital! So yes, I did not and would not come back. She did receive a full refund."
"To all my customers I feel this customer is upset due to the unfortunate circumstances that have occurred in his life that had absolutely nothing to do with my job or the work that I do. This individual father passed away shortly after we had started work on his new home in Jonesboro. he had to fly out of state to make arrangements for his family. While he was gone, as a concerned individual, I supervised all his appliance deliveries, inspected his new home, dealt with the other contractors he had hired for other jobs, and took care of anything else that he needed. WITHOUT charging him extra! I would like to say that, that will be the last time I help someone in need again. But knowing myself, it will not be. I finished the job hired for and more. He signed off on it. And gave nothing but praise for the work and help I offered. A couple of weeks later, he calls me and there was an issue with some grout behind the toilet that one of my guys missed. I was working out of town and assured him that when I got back in town, that I would come and sort out whatever he needed. A couple of days later, he calls me in a confused rage and speaks to me as if he was out of his mind. Saying similar things that he has posted in this review. non of which are true. I realize that this customer is up in his year age-wise, and I hope he has found the help he needs. I just wish he would not have taken his anxiety out on my company. I am not even convinced that he knows out of all the contractors he had if I am the one this was meant for. I am sorry for the way this professional relationship ended, and I wish him and his wife the best. But what he is saying in this review is simply not true."
"Mrs. [Consumer name withheld at their request] called me for an estimate to refinish her 2 bedroom floors. When i arrived there, i found out that the hardwood had never had a finish on them and they were under carpet for the past 40 or 50 years. On top of that, her numerous dogs that she keeps in the house had virtually destroyed what floor finish she did have in the rest of her home. In the 2 bedrooms were there were no finish, urine stains had stained the hardwood over years of neglect. I explained to Mrs. [Consumer name withheld at their request] that despite her wishes, that the floors would impossible to make perfect, but i could make them look better. I also advised her to use a light stain to help hide some of the imperfections that could not be sanded out. Her and her husband are trying to sell this home and she wanted to raise the curb appeal. She refused my offer, stating she wanted a "clear finish" a natural look. I also told her that i would fill in the holes in the hallway that her dogs made, and re install her baseboard and quarter round for "FREE". I did the best i could with her aged buckled floor, and despite what she is saying, it looks alot better than i thought it would. I filled the holes in her hallway, and replaced her baseboard and quarter round, as well as giving life back to a demolished floor. At the end of the job, she stated that she loved it, but accused me of not replacing a corner section of her quarter round. I explained to her that there wasnt a piece there for us to replace. She all but called me a liar, so i told her that i wasnt going to argue and i took 200 dollars of her bill. She called me 20 min later stating that her husband claimed to have taken the quarter round off and that she apologized. That was very decent of her, although i was still out 200 dollars. I let it go and moved on. 2 weeks later, her husband calls me claiming that i hadnt applied the polyurethane down right and that there was a place that wasnt blended in right going in to the hallway. I explained once again that it couldnt be blended in because the old floor in the hallway had stain and the 2 bedrooms didnt, per his wife's request. Reluctantly, i agreed to go back and have a look. He showed me a few places that he wasnt satisfied with. One was going into the hall, which i again explained, the other was a dull place, which i agreed to recoat for him, the other was a place that he claimed wasnt finished right. He stated that he knew everything about flooring and preceded to tell me all he thought he knew on the subject. Once i explained the flaws in his polyurethane theory, he then stated that it was a sanding job, that was flawed. It wasnt, it was imperfection in the UNFINISHED 50 year old wood that was ammonia soaked because of urine under a carpet. I also told him that i wasnt much for argueing, that i would have to come back once i finished a couple other jobs for customers that had been waiting, and that i would re coat the dull s"
