"GroundScape showed up at the time agreed upon. Customer was not home but her husband was. We advised her husband that due to the amount of rain water that goes over the top of the wall and the fact they did not want to install a drainage system, that a paver wall would be the best option. Railroad tie walls rot out, but a paver wall system will last forever and provide excellent drainage. GroundScape also explained to her husband that many cities in our area will not allow you to install a new railroad tie wall due to the rotting and the fact that railroad ties are teated with a chemical called creosote. The city of Arlington allows you to install a railroad tie wall as long as the wall is not over a certain height in any area. If the wall goes over in any area you can not use railroad ties/wood. If you are anywhere in the Lake Arlington area no railroad ties/wood are allowed (Construction Code Section 19.04 Design and Construction Requirements for Retaining Walls). The City of Arlington will allow you to repair an existing railroad tie wall. GroundScape would like to note that even if the City of Arlington allowed railroad tie walls, regardless of height and location, we still would have advised against a railroad tie wall in this particular situation due to the amount of water drainage impacting that wall. This was all explained to her husband and why we sent an estimate with the best retaining wall option for this homeowner. GroundScape stands by the advice given. I am sorry that the customer views us as untrustworthy, unprofessional, and liars because she does not agree with our advice. The consultation was free and she is in no obligation to use our services. Thank You, ---The Sales Team at GroundScape"
Excellent job. they actually performed the work on an earlier date than originally agreed which was great as I had a deadline. charged the agreed price which was a fair price. they actually replaced/fixed my patio that was done by another vendor. Their quality of work was excellent. they were professional and followed up with a call after the job to ensure satisfaction. they also came back out to replace a cracked paver as agreed (crack was not there fault, I went an acquired another one by choice). I would def recommend them and use their services again.
"The client was informed that a full landscape, hardscape and irrigation design quote for 3 acres would take about 2 weeks under normal conditions. Due to Record Breaking rainfall we were way behind on projects and quotes. At the time of this review the quote was about 75% complete and was emailed out to him on May 29th. If there were any concerns regarding his quote he could have contacted the office at anytime and we would have been more than happy to give him an update."
