We noticed our central air conditioner was dripping at the corners of the inside unit. We called Scott and he said he would swing by himself or send someone else to check it out. We wanted it fixed right away as we were going to be out of the house for a week and didn't want to come home to a larger problem. Scott came by and adjusted a few things, however it was still leaking so we gave him another call. Scott came by again the next morning and this time was able to make the appropriate adjustments to get the dripping to stop. We always call Scott regarding our central air conditioner as he installed the unit for us!

We built our home in 2003 and Central Air installed our A/C unit. In the summer of 2009, ( not sure of actual month ) Our AC quit. We called Central Air and they sent out a young man that didn't seem to know exactly what he was doing. ( Husband had to show him how to put the fan back on. ) He told us that we need a new unit! I called for a second opinion for another local business and he assured me that it only needed a new fan. A couple of days later he called me and said that he had some pretty bad news and asked if we had recently put freon in our A/C. I told him that we did not. He then told me that he did some investigating and said that the unit was improperly installed! The lines were not evacuated and the result was debris and corrosion in the lines. There was also way too much freon in it. I called Central Air and explained the situation to Scott. He was rude and denied that the problem was caused by them. He said it was impossible to get to much freon in a A/C . He also told me that there was another company in town that was trying to ruin his business by telling his customers the same thing he was telling me! I did not tell him who the other business was. He wouldn't even come and check out the situation for himself! If I was a business owner and was told that something my company installed barely 6 years ago was already shot, I would do what ever I could to make it right! I called for a third opinion over the phone and asked if it was possible to get too much freon in an A/C and was told ABSOLUTELY! I went a step further and called the manufacturer of the unit and was told yes indeed you can and that it could cause the compressor to quit! This was especially unfortunate for us as my husband was just laid off from his job and there was no way we could afford to replace the A/C. Two years and we are still without air conditioning! To make matters worse, we got a bill! We refused to pay it of course!
