I was not very happy with them. They did not give me all the facts before they installed the furnace. They showed up on time and replaced the furnace. The problem is they did not give me all the information. They replaced it with a high efficiency furnace and they stated how they were going to vent the furnace out. When they actually completed the work, it would not vent as they told me it was going to be and it ruined the front face of my house. The way they vent it, the heating vents were right next to the front door so it just looks really bad. So, I thought it was nothing how they were going to vent it and then, I would not keep going with the high efficiency and that is not what they said either. The guy did not speak English all the best and that was lost in translation. So, it was very frustrating.

They showed up in under 15 minutes of my call. Quickly diagnosed my problem and scheduled the installation two days after. Install went smoothly. They were out of the unit that they quoted me on, but upgraded at no additional charge.

Well done. As always, there is something that could have been done better, as my wife would say i always perceive. But when I told this to Howe's manager, he was very interested w/my opinion and agreed with my insight and took my suggestion w/a positive attitude for improvement.

Both jobs went very well and the technician was able to repair a tub fixture that another plumber said could not be reparired.

They were very easy to work with, gave us good suggestions, and fit us in before the end of the year. We are actually doing some remodeling and will include them for any needs.

I have been using the company for nearly 15 years, and it always does excellent work. This experience was no exception.

In the future I will probably ask for a tech to diagnose the problem and look for a place to purchase the parts

He was very professional and accurate. I was impressed by his attention to the job but yet did not act like a provider who only cared about his job, but almost like a friend helping. I appreciated that. I was mostly impressed with the fact that when he turned the water back on he noticed that we did not have good water pressure in our sink and he fixed that too. It was that way so long, I had forgot it not working properly, and we had always thought it was in the faucet. I was very thankful for him noticing and fixing that. We will certainly call them in the future again when needed!

We literally paid this company $120.00 to do NOTHING at all. Our central air unit had quit functioning and we called Howe's to come take a look at it and let us know what it would cost to repair it. We made an appointment and patiently waited for the technician to arrive. He was almost one hour late and didn't even bother to apologize for the delay. From there, he walked over to our central air unit, looked at it for about 5 minutes and proceeded to tell us that the unit was too old and they wouldn't repair it BUT they would sell us a new model.Fast forward two weeks and lo and behold, there's a bill in the mail for $120.00 for a "consultation fee". For that amount of money all we received was a five minute non-answer from an extremely late technician. Needless to say, when I begrudgingly paid the bill, I made sure to write "FOR NOTHING" in the check memo. Steer clear of this business. They'll rob you blind!!!

I called Howe to service an AC that wasn't performing well. The technician was there on time and was very thorough and professional . He found that the compressor was and quot;seizing upand quot; and listed a variety of options for fixing or replacing the unit. He was very knowledgeable. I requested a quote for a new unit and he wrote one on the spot.

We scheduled to have the unit installed a few days later. The installer did the job while we were at work. I spoke to him once on the phone and he was friendly. By the time we arrived home the installer was gone, and other than a cool house, there was no evidence that he had ever been there. When we received the bill a week later it matched the quote. It was a good experience.

Very good experience. They were at our house within a day to provide an estimate. The estimate was emailed to us later that same day. We agreed on the estimate price (which might have been a few dollars higher than other comanies - but we were impressed by their punctuality and friendliness) and the plumbers were at our house early the next week. Overall a very good experience.

This company was terrible. They did not give us any real time. He barley looked at the problem and said we need to buy a new heater. They charged me 50 dollars for the work they didn't do. They are scammers!

My biggest complaint is that they waited a week and sent me a letter with a really high estimate. Contracting someone to work in your home is a position in which I'd like to get to know them better, and would have preferred a phone call at least from the person I called initially. Also the cost tells me that either they are trying to screw me or that they don't really do much residential work and were charging me something more appropriate to commercial work.

The work was satisfactory for all of the jobs, however the labor charges were not satisfactory. After speaking to the owner, I was informed that the labor starts from the point of where the service man finishes a job previous to coming to our house. We are charged from the time he leaves that job until he arrives at and finishes our job. I did not think that I should pay for the mans drive time, and the owner informed me that all contractors charge that same way and if they did not do that, they would just have to charge more labor to make up the difference. He was not willing to make a concession and when I told him that I probably would not use his company again, he said that he was sorry that I felt that way and did not even try to achieve customer satisfaction. I was not asking for the whole bill to be dismissed, but was asking for an adjustment for the amount of the labor time that I was charged.
