taking people money not doing work

We hired Joe With Gentry construction back in April to install a chain-link fence. He required a deposit in order to get the materials and so forth. We wrote him out a check for $6106.75 on April 14and he cashed it the same day. He said the materials would not be in until March 12. When the materials came in on March 12, he said that he would be there the following weekend to install the fence. When March 17th cam he text me and said that there was attention wire piece missing, and he could not perform the task until the tension wire came in. He then put us off for another three weeks. It is now June 7 the day the fence is supposed to get installed and we have text him and he has not shown up all day when we ask where he is at. He says we are disrespectful and harassing, and he will not be completing the job.

Replaced deck carpet a replaced new deck railings. Did a very good job. He made sure the job was done correctly. He was very good to work with and friendly.

Joe was awesome to work with he went above and beyond what was asked of him he know is trade very well and pays attention to all the details big or small the remodel of my kitchen went according to plans and him and his guys left the place very clean needless to say I will be asking them to return when I start my next remodeling project thank you Joe

Despite Angies listing this contractor has passed a background check, the owner Joe Gentry did not pass a background check and kept my $1,062 deposit. No work was performed and he kept my money. Currently in the process of disputing the payment with my bank. But beware!!! I was forced to cancel my contract due to his lies when he knew from the beginning a background check would be performed. Wasted time and money
