The quality of the flooring and installation are fine. The professionalism of John at the store is sorely lacking.
The initial estimate was that it would be 3 hours of preparation for and quot;grind concrete smooth and patchand quot;. The entire floor was already smoothed concrete with two small areas (about 15 sq ft) that had to be ground and smoothed. The itemized estimate and agreement included and quot;Floor prepand quot; for $60, installation for $910, 4 gallons of adhesive for $169 in addition to the $300 for 3 hours of grind and smooth.
The installer himself came to preview the work and said the grinding and smoothing would be less than an hour and that whole job about 5 hours.
When we returned the samples we had, John asked if we had receive the invoice or the balance. We had not received any invoice in the mail so he printed one and had billed us for the entire 3 hours of grind and smooth in the original estimate. We objected and insisted he remove the extra charge.
He told our general contractor it would take 3 full boxes of tile for the bathroom. The contractor only needed two. When he returned the unopened box of tile, John told our GC that there would be no credit due to and quot;restocking chargesand quot;.
It appears he tried to make up what he billed us for but was not correct by not giving credit for the tile.
I will not do any business with them in the future.

The guy that came out was very professional and he did a nice job and did it quickly. He did not dilly-dally; it took about an hour. He got in and out, kept everything really clean and cleaned up after himself. He put booties on his shoes so that he did not drag anything in. he was great and was really good.

They were very careful in their recommendation of the right kind of floor that would work over a heated floor. They had specialists that were able to provide good advice regarding the kind of multi-color wood pattern that will work well decoratively with the rest of the house and will stay attached reliably to the heated floor. The wood flooring required many intricate cuts to make the pattern look right. They were very careful to prevent the spread of saw dust into the house. The work was done very professionally and the pattern came out even better than we were expecting. They cleaned up after themselves. The price was exactly as quoted and the job was completed on time. The only difficulty was the manufacturer didn't send the amount of molding that was requested so that last little bit remains.

We have underfloor heating that restricts the kind of pad and carpeting you can use without interfering with the way the floor heats the house. They understood the issues involved and were very helpful in identifying carpeting that satisfied the heating demands but still provided the soft feel of high pile carpeting. Their installers arrived on time, took the old carpeting out, installed the new carpeting, and cut some of the old carpeting out for use to use as carpet runners elsewhere in the house. The seams they made were transparent and they cleaned up after themselves completely. Excellent work. Completely satisfied.
