Every thing was very thorough, he spent a lot of time looking over the furnace and then we were told the heat exchanger needed to be replaced and the issue needed to be addressed soon. We received a high price for the labor as the part should be under warranty. We decided to get a second opinion and found out there was nothing wrong with the furnace.

Initially the time had been written down wrong and when no one showed up, I called and they apologized and sent someone out right away. It went smoothly and professionally after that.

Aire Serv is very professional - the technician arrived right on time in a snazzy-looking Aire Serv van. After evaluating the problem, he listed all proposed work items individually on an iPad/Tablet. After discussion, he performed the approved work and left, with the A/C unit working fine. That's the good news. The bad news is that Aire Serv is HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE. The work that I guesstimated would be around $300.00 was quoted at over $1250.00, with an option/recommendation to replace the unit for ~$5,000.00. I am used to HVAC repairs being charged by the hour with extra for parts, which is how I did my guesstimating. Rather then that method, the work was quoted per item, at a rate that appeared to be as if each was a separate trip from the home office. Examples: replace the contactor $179.08 replace contactor wires $195.82 clean the unit $ 99.00 charge the system (add coolant) $164.57 add coolant leak sealant $245.52 Replacing the contactor wires took only a short time and required only a few standard gauge wires. Cleaning the unit I can do myself. I approved about $550 of the work to get the problem solved that day. Summary: if you want to pay for very good service from a guy in a fancy truck, wearing a clean uniform and using the latest technology for billing, call Aire Serv. If you just want to get some HVAC work done at a FAIR price, call someone else.

They came in and were able to solve the problem that nobody else could solve. The original quote was $75, but he ended up charging me only $25 because he was able to fix it. The president of the company actually came out to make sure everything went well.

Good communication with Aire-Serv.  They were always expedient and timely.

We woke up on the morning of January 3, 2011 to a VERY cold house.  We called Air Serv and Mr. Hallstrom came very quickly He tried a couple of things that might have worked.  Since I'm very mechanically challenged, I don't remember the solutions tried.  I just remember that Mr. Hallstrom realized early that I was mechanically challenged and explained things so that I could understand what he was trying.  He kept us informed each step of the way and what the possible costs were.  For the items that didn't work, we were not charged. It was finally decided that we needed a new furnace.  Mr. Hallstrom laid out the options for furnaces and the programmable thermostats that I wanted installed at the same time.  Mr. Hallstrom laid out more than three options of furnaces and thermostats explaining the advantages and disadvantages of all the options.  When we made the decision on which furnace and which thermostat, he affirmed our decision with the positives to the decision.  Since he had worked most of the day to fix our old furnace, he had to come back the next day to install he new furnace.  He left us with three portable, easily movable heaters to help us stay warm during the night.  The next day, he came early, with a helper, and the two went immediately to work.  The furnace was installed in less time than Mr. Hallstrom estimated.  Although there was some extra work needed to properly install the new furnace, the original price estimated the previous evening was the price we paid. If you have a furnace/air conditioning problem, call Mr. Hallstrom at Air Serv!!

They were right there when I called them. Basically, my old furnace had gone out. I had been thinking about getting a new furnace. I asked them to give me a quote, and they fixed the old furnace just so that it would function until we got the next one, which was the next day. They were very responsive and professional. I would recommend them.

The Aire Serv comfort consultant came out to my house at 7:00 PM and gave me a free estimate to replace my ageing furnce. I was so pleased with the vist I ordred a new furnce that night and had it installed the very next day. The installers were very courteous and explained everything they were doing. They even covered my carpet with drop clothes and wore shop covers the whole time they were inside doing the work.
