At first, they sprayed my entire yard. About halfway through they would not spray the weedkiller on the bark. They said they were only allowed to spray on the grass.

They called ahead to make sure sprinklers were marked. Responded to request to delay until the next week due to not being able to mow lawn short enough because of rainy weather.  2 individuals ran the machines over the lawn in an acceptable pattern and in a timely manner.

They put down product that I didn't need because there was no grass. This is a new construction and all I needed was to have the weeds killed before the sod went down. They treated the weeds that were in the ground as if they were the grass.
When I tried to talk to them about it, the receptionist couldn't tell me anything. When I called asking when services would be provided I was told the drivers make their own schedules so they couldn't tell me when they would be around to spray. I have pets and I didn't want them outside when they sprayed so I needed a schedule and they were never here when they were supposed to be.
It took 3 calls to get through to the manager who was finally able to tell me what was going on and confirm that they would apply the correct spray and when it would be done. Then before the final application was applied I started getting calls that the bill was overdue. I had paid for the seasonal application for the year up front but the overall kill of the weeds was extra and I hadn't paid for that, although there was a credit on the account as the last application hadn't been applied, they were still calling for payment before the application was done.
I will NEVER use these people again. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone, unless you have absolutely no other alternatives. The product they apply is good. It does do the job, but the business itself and the people running it are unorganized and unprofessional.

It went fine. It was good. I've used them for many years. They provide a good service. They're average on pricing.

It went really well. They do a wonderful job. We have had them for about a year and a half. They do a good job and very consistent. They do let you know when they are coming.

I phoned the manager at once !! He said how convenient it was for me to phone after the work had been done. I said I had told his people 3 times not to sign me up for the new lawn year...so yes, I phoned to complain after the lawn treatment because I had declined the service. His response was that he had sent me a letter saying they were going to go ahead and do the wok unless I contacted them. First off, I don't think that is legal ....furthermore I did not recall the letter and may very well have seen the address, thought it was an ad and simply put it into the trash. He was belligerant....he said and quot;you don't phone the power company each month as to keep service each month do you?and quot;
Personally I did not understand his response. He asked if I would at least pay for the work they did and I said no because I had refused the service several times.
He told me that i could no longer bea customer. I agreed.

After the work was completed, the employees left me a bill in the amount of $421. Weeks later I recieved a bill for $842 with $421 credit. I sent them a letter stating that there must be a mistake since the employees left a bill for $421. They insist the charge is $842...just crazy!! Work was completed in 1.5 hrs (2 workers) at a cost of $842!!! There was 1 hour travel time to get to my house and back to their place of business. That amounts to 5 person hours at $168 per hour per worker, which I think is outrageous!! If I had to do it over, I would have rented a aerator and did the work myself. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and will take them to court if I must.

Will not use this company again. Despite two calls from the local office scheduling and confirming the appointment around our lawn mowing service, the technician showed up 30 minutes before mowers were due. He was shocked that he was not supposed to be there; said he was not notified by anyone in the office that he was supposed to spray after 12 noon. He had already sprayed our entire lawn, so we had to cancel our lawn mowing as he said it would burn the grass if they mowed with wet chemicals on the grass. Called the local office to receive an and quot;oh, welland quot; attitude when I questioned why he was not informed. Also was overcharged for the service and was told it was because we had not scheduled a full course of service with them as in the past. Called the TruGreen 800 number, and they were fantastic. Took care of the overcharge, but, unfortunately, they could not change what had already been done. TruGreen has lost us as customers; they do not listen to their customers or communicate with their technicians. Will use the local company that most of our neighbors use in the future.

We recently moved into a house that was previously inhabited by tenants who did not maintain the front and back lawns. The property was covered in dandelions mixed with other weeds.
TruGreen was recommended to us by the company that performed irrigation repair and tree trimming on our property, and as it seemed that TruGreen received good reviews on Angie's List as well, when a TruGreen representative showed up at our door to offer services, we jumped at the chance. Jim, the sales representative we dealt with was very professional, courteous, and pleasant. We signed the agreement for annual maintenance and were supposed to be contacted by someone from TruGreen office within a couple of days who would collect payment and schedule the first service visit. As nobody called us back for a whole week, we attempted to contact TruGreen office ourselves without any success. After two weeks and another call stating we were not happy about not being contacted in a timely manner, a person from the office finally called, took our payment information, and scheduled a service visit for the following day.
The technician who came out to perform the first treatment was very professional and pleasant. He completed work quickly, and we can already notice the dandelions wilting (it's been 1 day since the service was performed).
The cost of annual maintenance before prepayment discount is quite a bit more than what we were used to in Kansas where we moved from, although our yard here is smaller than what we had in Kansas. However, as there is not much competition in this field here in Rapid City and weeds need to be kept in check, we will probably go with the same company for these services the following year as well.

Trugreen are convenient, they are on the ball, they do a good job and the prices are reasonable. We use them and we know the quality of their work so we would recommend them.

We called them to work on our lawn because the lawn next door has some sort of disease, and we wanted to prevent it from spreading.
Called trugreen and they were here the next day. Plugged the lawn and 2-3 days later came and sprayed it with some kind of special fertilizer.
We are very happy with there service.

The TruGreen come to my house and I don't have to be present for the lawn treatment. I did have some customer service issues.
