"Technician was asked for a price to hook up power to a mobile home. The technician gave our flat rate for a 200 amp hook up. The customer never indicated that there would be any other needs such as an air conditioner hook up. Had she informed us of the extra needed we would have included that in our estimate. We discussed this with the customer several times trying to work it out. It is common to do power hookups to mobile homes with no other accessories. Occasionally we are asked to do other hookups such as A/C, well pumps, or heat meters but of course notification of this at the time of the estimate is needed to get it included in the estimate. It is very unfair for a customer to not inform us of the work needed and then get mad when it is not done. The customer indicated on a phone call that the need for an A/C hookup was a surprise to her when she found out it was needed and she admits to giving no indication at the time of the estimate."
