Concrete Repair
Hildebrand Concrete was subcontracted to provide 30+ yards of concrete for a shop floor project, approx. 70 miles from their Kadoka SD batch plant. Hildebrand contacted the customer several days before the scheduled pour for a confirmation of directions to the location of the pour. Detailed directions were given, and understood. On the scheduled day of the pour, four out of five trucks got lost resulting in an extra two to four hours of the concrete sitting on the trucks. Concrete on the first truck was managable, but the concrete on the remaining trucks was setting up. Hildebrand was repeatedly asked to add water to the mix, and refused. The end result was a substandard floor with many cracks, waves, and cold joints. When contacted by the customer, Hildebrand denied any wrong doing.
