Tear-out and prep for the new patio went as planned, but on the day of the pour, the wrong skins were used. The final look was anything but seamless with the edge of each stamp clearly visible. Equally as bad was the fact that the color was extremely uneven and inconsistent from one stamp to the next. We expressed our dissatisfaction with the final product in a letter to the contractor, which included full payment for the work performed. We weren’t looking for a reduction, we wanted the patio we contracted for. We met with the contractor a few days later to discuss options for coming closer to the look we paid for. He went off to do some research and we never heard from him again.
Description of Work: My wife and I wanted to replace our 15x33 slab of decaying concrete with a two-color, natural stone look stamped concrete patio. We met with the contractor on multiple occasions to discuss the colors, pattern and type of stamp that would be used. The process for achieving this natural stone look required the use of seamless skins (stamps).Throughout these meetings we were very specific about the look we were trying to achieve and at no time did the contractor indicate that they did not understand what we wanted or that they could not fulfill our request.
