They took away part of the living room wall and added a large walk through closet to the master suite that was quick and seamless. They even sectioned off the rest of the house so the construction dirt, debris and dust didn't get everywhere in the house. That was great! Then they started on the screened in porch and that was a second story screened in porch. The thing about Chip that impressed me, was he did not take short cuts. He actually made an effort to exceed minimum standards that the architect had called for. He built the floor, the base more sturdy than the architect designed it, for no additional costs. And now the floor does not bounce at all, no matter how many people are out there! It is so solid. The finished product, he was able to talk to us about some of the final design issues when we got to that stage. He showed us some options that made it look so much better than the architect had designed it. It had more balance to the structure and blended in with the existing style of the house better than what the architect had originally drawn. It's my favorite room in the house! We have gotten so many compliments on this room, that it is perceived as an outdoor room. It's like living in a tree house because of the view you have. It's like you are standing outside, but it's got a patterned tile floor and upholstered furniture that is protected from the weather. The way he did screens and railings, they don't obstruct your view. It is just gorgeous!
