McNeely Brothers Painting

They are responsive, timely, and do quality work.  They are among the most knowledgeable residential painters in the area, and they actually understood the problems that caused the initial peeling.  They operate in a manner that is fully compliant with North Carolina's relatively new lead-paint standards (which a lot of painters don't know).  They operated with a large team and thus were finished relatively fast.

The negatives were, in the grand scheme, minor.  Their heavy tarps crushed my hosta bed.  Fortunately, almost all of the hostas bounced back the next spring.  (McNeely offered to replace them if they did not.)  They are high priced, probably among the most expensive in the area.  However, the much larger cost for us was having to have the house repainted.  While most of the reason was a lower quality paint used in the initial painting, there is no question McNeely was more knowledgeable about our project.

The paint itself was better, from the same vendor. The team was large and fast. It appears, two weeks later, that this paint will adhere better to the old siding. I am hopeful. The price was reasonable for the quality though certainly not low for the area.

I called McNeely Brothers to paint the outside of my house. They hand washed the house and made sure to repair problem areas on particular sections of wood. They were very trustworthy. We think that the paint job they did will last several years. They have a maintenance program and I will call them back to clean the house in the future. I felt like they treated us like family.
