Having retired from 40 years in Project Management for the industrial construction industry, I selected this contractor from his reputation for character, integrity, reasonable pricing and quality of work. I was not disappointed in any of the for-mentioned qualities of this contractor and would recommend him for most any projects from minor remodeling to new home construction without reservation.
Our story is involved because all we originally wanted to do is build a shed to store equipment on some land in Meck. county. However, they forced us to build a house and we searched months for a builder we could work with and afford. Builders prices in Charlotte outside of tract builders are out of site and we thought we were going to have to try and frame by ourselves.
But then we ran across Joey Moss. He listened to and what we were dealing with and offered to help us in any way we wanted. He offered to provide labor for anything we couldn't do ourselves and has been more than helpful sharing contacts of other subs and building suppliers.
You can tell they really love what they do and their priority is making sure they help you figure out the best scenarios for you and your needs.
After what we've been through the past year we just had to post a review in hopes of helping others out there looking to build a home or any type of structure find Carolina's Best Log Homes. Note we ended up building a stick built ranch house instead of a log cabin. It was nice to watch them build. We had a lot of bad weather that cost them days but they never got in a hurry or cut corners. They took their time and got things right.
All we heard from builders and other framing crews trying to quoting us ridiculous prices was how tough Mecklenberg county inspectors were. We had an inspector come out yesterday and look over the framing and sheathing before doing the electrical, plumbing and HVAC rough ins.
The inspector was there 5 minutes and commented how good the framing was. This is the first house we've built on our own and we've talked to a lot of contractors & subs. Do yourself a favor if you're looking to build any type of structure, call Joey. Again it doesn't matter if you are looking for a builder to build turn key or you just want to sub out your framing or other aspects of your project. If you need help with something they don't do, they will refer you to other quality sub contractors.
You will save money and more importantly you'll get a company that's reliable and takes pride in their work.
