HALL'S CUSTOM CABINETS & REMODELING

This group was very polite and responsive, and at the time of installation it was a good experience.  I have an older home and the cabinets were torn out and replaced.  The former cabinets were solid wood and had been up for 35 years with no warping.  As custom cabinet builders, and with the price, I assumed that everything would be solid wood.  It is not.  They use pre-made cabinet doors that are made of pressed wood.  Pressed wood does not do well with water.  After about a year, I called and had Hall's replace the cabinets below the sink because water from the sink had done exactly what you would expect water to do to pressed wood, it bubbled and looked bad.  I can't remember who came to do the work, I think it was the original owner, but he was clearly not happy about replacing the doors and made a comment, "What do you do, have your kids washing dishes".  Well, yes, as a matter of fact I do, and the prior owners who had 5 children before me did the same, because they were responsible parents as well.  The difference was, they had real wood and I didn't, so they didn't  have a buckling problem.  I regret having my cabinets redone.  I have the same problem with buckling under the counter that I initially had, but I've just lived with it.  One day I will have someone redo them with real wood, but after they were so unhappy to stand by their product, it just wasn't worth it to me to pursue this.  I really did not appreciate them acting like their choice of shoddy material was somehow my fault, and that has colored the whole experience for me.  I may not be a custom cabinet maker, but I sure know that I would never use pressed wood in a known splash location.

He did work for me years ago and I was pleased with that. They are a good company. He did an excellent job. They are a little bit pricey. He gave me a price to remodel my bathroom that I thought was too high, but that was before for an estimate. I did not get them to do the work on my bathroom.

Contractor had all of the subs lined up to finish the job in a timely manner. They kept in contact with me every step
of the way and showed up when they were supposed to. They made sure all the work was performed as agreed in the
contract and that we were satisfied with each step of the process. Mike and Todd are a father-son team
who have been in business many years and are true professionals. Their work is first class and they are the best
contractors I have ever used ( and I have used many over the years). I have several other projects planned in the
future and I plan to use Hall's to do the work.

This "so-called" contractor was rude, expensive and highly unprofessional. This three man team (father and two sons) did not perform the tasks that were indicated on the written contract to the satisfactory of the customer (me and my husband). They also kept up-charging items and did work that was overall sloppy. When asked about a paint job that they had sub-contracted out, one of the sons physically abused my husband. After this event, they were asked to leave the site and were not given any more money (therefore the cabinets were not installed and all other work was stopped).
