Airserv We experienced the WORST service imaginable for a homeowner. A 1 star review is WAY too high! We are new to the area. We called Airserv because they are the company that installed the system a little less than 5 years ago. Our system was not working properly. The technician arrived with “a chip on his shoulder”. I can’t be sure if it was a result of his previous service stop or this is his normal behavior. We have never experienced a service person as rude and condescending as this man was. He did not want to be questioned about how the system worked or discuss possible solutions. After ~45 minutes of time, he deduced that our Honeywell control board was faulty. If the board wasn’t under warranty, it could cost ~$500! And according to the tech, these control boards only last ~4-5 years. Are you kidding me? Totally NOT true. (Verified this with Honeywell) He was to check on the warranty and call me the next day. I am an engineer and totally understand the control board, wiring, etc. so I took it upon myself that evening to verify that indeed the board was “bad”. I discovered that the board was NOT bad but that the board AND thermostat were wired incorrectly. I rewired everything correctly and the system now operates as designed. When the technician called me the next day regarding the control board warranty, I informed him that the board had been wired incorrectly. I tried to explain how it should have been wired and he started shouting that I had voided my warranty by fixing it myself and then hung up on me. FOR REAL??? Why wouldn’t you want to learn something that you could perhaps use at a future service call? Arrogance and superiority most definitely stand in the way of his service abilities. We will NEVER use Airserv EVER AGAIN and caution you all to save your money and call a reputable, customer oriented company.
