We had never heard of Southeastern Painting but they were secured by a service company through our insurance company. I had a lot of concerns dealing with an unknown company but the owner, Mr. Jim Wilson, came out ahead of time to assess our needs and let us choose colors, etc. He noted the unusual architectural details we had to work around and planned to bring specially cut plywood and many boxes of plastic sheeting in order to protect wood stained panelling and trim and and keep drywall dust from drifting down the open stairs. His crew, Terry and Abraham, arrived promptly on time the next day and were clearly long time professionals. They took care of repairing the water damage in the attic and upstairs, sanding off the old ceiling, applying the new popcorn ceiling in this very large area, and painting without getting a drop on the stained wood trim or floor. When they had to use a particularly odorous material in prepping the ceiling for pop corning, they alerted us well in advance so we could plan to stay clear of the fumes for that time period. Terry asked us our preference before proceeding when various things came up and overall he and Abraham were extremely courteous and thoughtful. They also left the area spotless and helped us move some of the furniture back into place. And they told us what to expect to see while the ceiling dried to its final color over the next 48-72 hours, so we wouldn't be concerned. We couldn't have been more pleased with their work or the final results!
