Scott Smith

First he charged 8,260 for the job, he wanted 9,000 but we realized he was not honest so we quit writing him checks. To make a long story short. He took our money and never did the job. He lied about providing us with a licence number, he said he left it at home and would bring it,  but never did. He came well recommended, and did complete a job on a rental home before we paid him to work in our current home. We will be lucky if our lawyer can get even a portion of our money back. He did frame in our shower, but another contractor said it was crooked and would need to be tore out and redone. This will cost us another 200-300 dollars. He cut into our master bedroom closet when he was cutting out the old fiber glass shower. This will also cost us in additional repairs. He also said he could do the plumbing. Our licensed plumber said he was using old seals and that there was a good chance we would have had leaking problems in 5-6 months.This man used every excuse in the book over the last 3 months not to show up for work. He showed up for work until he realized he was not getting any more money out of us.  I am pregnant and my husband works in Afghanistan in a war zone to provide for his family.
