You are paying for unlimited nationwide calling for anywhere in the U.S. (and Canada). THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!
I found several years ago, that I could not call my friend in Juneau, Alaska. That is considered long distance. That is part of the United States. Call reception is terrible. There is a background beeping similar to a busy signal during most calls. Most people that call me find it very annoying.
This morning my newspaper was not delivered. I tried to call my local newspaper to report it. I could not. Magicjack wanted me to buy minutes and charge me for it as a conference call. I have called this number before with magicjack. There is no customer service to call. You have to do a live chat with an agent. I did. He was no help. Her kept sending me a script showing that there is a charge for a conference call. For the record, the number I was calling was to the local newspaper. It was (602)444-1000. It is one of those automated service lines commonly used now days. It is not a conference call. For me, this is even considered a local call.
With Magicjack you are getting what you paid for.
Poor service
No customer support

MagicJack is less expensive and more reliable. The quality is good. The features are fair.
