My air conditioner compressor failed because Davis did not install it properly. The factory warranty covered the cost of a new one,
(compressor ), Davis insisted I pay $1500.00 to cover the shipment cost and labor. I argue that since they messed up the installation, they should pay, but they refused. The new compressor was shipped to them, Therefore, I could either pay them or go without any heating or air conditioning.

It wasn't my fault and I shouldn't have to pay.

They're fantastic. The quality of installation was excellent. Instead of just looking at what we had there, he actually went through, took measurements. They put 2 new supplies in together so that we have better circulation. He explained things to us. When he sent the estimate, he actually did the calculations. They did a fantastic job. The attic space is where all the stuff goes so there's not a big access to it so they weren't able to take the old unit out because the only way out of the attic is like 2 feet but I completely understand why they left it up there because cutting that thing into little pieces to get it out would be just absolutely ridiculous. The installation was excellent. They did the installation and they waited a week and set up a follow up appointment for final inspection just to make sure that everything is working correctly and that we're happy with the installation before the bill is due. The installers didn't come to do the inspection. They sent a different person to quality check it and I think that's an excellent side of the corporate ethics and commitment to service. I was just absolutely astounded with the little extra steps of added value for us and that is the mark of a real professional provider. They were not the least expensive quote that I got.

they came in and did a great job. they were courteous and competant. havent had any problems since.
