Everything went very well. I originally thought I only needed new exhaust vent boots. When Andy inspected the roof, he found hail had broken the seal on the skylights and damaged the shingles. My insurance inspector also found damage to the gutters and gutter guards, so we wound up replacing everything. I can’t believe how much better the house looks!

We were in a crazy tight deadline with the bank to get our roof done and Palmetto Roofing did everything they could to get it done for our deadline. They worked with difficult weather and us having to change the time to get it done a lot. Quality work! We felt very well taken care of. Also the roof was in extremely bad condition and Palmetto Roofing Specialties was the only one we got quotes from willing to totally strip it and take it back to the under pining and fully replace everything including soffit, gutters, the whole deal.

I would not hire, nor would I recommend this contractor. They repeatedly said they were coming to do work on my house and didn't show up. I have 22 documented texts and emails that were no shows. My insurance company made the check out to Palmetto, unfortunately, for the first 80%. After 6 months, and only my roof and most of siding complete, the owner, John Bolt, began billing me for services that were not done on my house. Said he wanted the balance due. When they would send someone to work on my house, they would never come and check to see if the work was completed or done correctly. They submitted the balance due to my insurance company and my house wasn't even half finished. My contract with them was for 6 months, so after the 6th month I ended up hiring someone else to complete the work on my house. That's when John Bolt began changing prices on my invoice, texting me late at night wanting money, threatening to sue me, expecting me to "bring him his money" in the middle of the work day. He is a nightmare. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy. From our records, they owe us over $1,000.00. I'm still not sure if its worth getting my money back from them....

We had a wonderful experience with Palmetto Roofing Specialties. Andy Menchaca came to give us an estimate on the cost to replace the roof. To our surprise, we had hail damage to the roof. This was the first time we have had to process a claim on our home insurance. Needless to say, we were somewhat overwhelmed. Andy was very helpful with explaining the entire process, step-b-step. He came to meet with our insurance agent when he came to assess the roof. He also worked with our insurance agent to ensure the process was completed in a timely manner. The crew did an excelkent job. They were courteous and efficient. We were extremely pleased with the attention they gave to cleaning up after the work was complete. We would definitely, without hesitation, recommend this company to my neighbors and friends. We have been very satisfied with the work. I had a great experience with Palmetto Roofing Specialties. Due to storm damage from Irma, our roof and gutters had to be replaced. This was the first time my husband and I have had to process a claim on our home insurance policy. We were overwhelmed, until our meeting with Andy Menchaca. He was very professional, thoroughly explained the process and claim information, and worked with our insurance agent to ensure we were fairly treated. The crew did an awesome job. They were courteous and efficient. We have two large dogs in our backyard that could be at risk of stepping on a nail, so I especially appreciated the time they spent cleaning up. I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends. We have been so pleased, we are looking to use their company for future projects too. Excellent job!

The repair team arrived on time as promised but brought 1 bundle of wrong color shingles. OK, accidents happen. But, while one of the guys went back for the correct shingles we noticed an area of the repair where the vapor barrier paper was not being used. We asked about this and was told they would place the paper down and then "tuck it under" the leading edge of the shingles already installed. I went up to check the work myself and found that several rows of shingles had been installed without the paper and were already nailed down. When I asked about this; one of the workers stated he "accidentally" kept nailing when they ran out of paper and the person gone to get the correct shingles was also getting more paper. I called the Palmetto Roofing office to confirm there should be paper installed under the shingles and they confirmed this should be done. At least 4 rows of shingles installed by Palmetto Roofing were removed and new shingles correctly installed once the needed materials were delivered. The repair was done (replace shingles, replace 4 sheets of OSB board and repaired a ceiling joist) and the roof no longer leaks but it was a hassle to get the work done. The work was done on a Friday and over the weekend we noticed the tarp we had put down in our attic space was no longer there. Called Palmetto Roofing on Monday and they confirmed they had picked up the tarp by accident and it was in their shop and would bring it back to us. It is now Sunday 6 days later and no tarp.

It went great!  John worked with the insurance company after an initial assessment did not appear correct, adn the 2nd adjuster agreed, so repairs/replacement were covered by insurance.
John's team did a terrific job, were finished in 1 day!  Cleanup was meticulously done.
Could not have been happier!
