From Tree To You LLC Custom Cabinetry and Kitchen

Ken worked with us on several iterations of the design stage. Very knowledgeable and willing to work with you to get the details right. He gave us a choice between high quality semi custom and custom. He built a custom island and a custom cabinet around the new farm sink and all went well. He went out of his way to coordinate the delivery of the sink with the delivery people seamlessly. Ken was a pleasure and knows his business!

Ken was very easy to work with and he helped us with wood selection.  Very good attention to detail.

We settled on the drawers and doors for the existing cabinets and decided to replace two cabinets right away. I sent Ken a sketch of what I thought would work for the three new floor-to-ceiling cabinets and he drew it up to scale, made some very helpful suggestions, and built it. The quality of his work is excellent, he and his crew (Gabe, Michelle, and Chris) are extremely nice and responsive, and they all pay attention to detail. We enjoyed having them here. The kitchen is beautiful. I can't believe the difference! The price was fair and Ken made a couple of suggestions to us save money. First i want to apologize to Ken and Michele for taking so long to do this review?i had some issues that were not related to their work, which was excellent!
This job was not your typical kitchen remodel. I had very definite ideas and also materials on hand that I wanted incorporated into a kitchen that would fit the character of my house?country, eclectic. eccentric?i admit to being creative and a little bit crazy?but Ken and Michelle worked with me to get it all done - my way.
They are a happy crew and a joy to have around. This is a family business, so even Ken's daughter worked on the installation ?I do so love to see women involved?they bring a slightly different perspective and I enjoyed working with them all.
I don't know how to do photos on this but will send some to Ken to use or forward as he sees fit.

Ken was very helpful.  He gave us many options and provided cabinets that look great with our existing set.  He also touched up the existing cabinets with a glaze that makes them look better than new.  He made several trips to us to make sure of what we wanted.  His personal attention and craftsmanship are much appreciated.

We called Ken after reading great reviews on Angie's List. He and his wife came over and looked at what we wanted and provided some input and ideas. What we were asking for was way over our budget, so Ken said 'let me go back to the shop and see what we can come up with'. Well, he did and come back with a design that we could make work within our budget. His concept was to build the unit in pieces in the shop, eliminating the need for on-site construction. We determined a color and laminate top and they went to work. When they came back for the installation, they were very meticulous and did a wonderful job. We were very pleased with the results.
It did take longer that we hoped to get the finished product, but it was well worth the wait. Their problem is that they are so good, people continue to add more work once the initial job is underway, and their projects end up taking longer than expected. They did a good job of keeping us informed along the way. Again, the finished product was well worth the wait.

Better than ever imagined, Ken and Michelle have been beyond excellent through every step of the process.  I am a commercial General Contractor and would recommend these folks to anyone, anywhere.  Very competent and cabinets EXCEED expectations, a rarity in today's times.

Ken did a great job with our kitchen cabinets. Met with us several times before the work began to go over color, door style and layout. He matched the color we envisioned perfectly and was very easy to make changes to our design with. All this and his prices were extremely competitive to all the other quotes we received. Would definitely recommend Ken to a friend or relative, which we did.

We are very happy with the results. Ken and his daughter, Kendra, worked well together and both did an outstanding job. Ken is a perfectionist and it showed in every way. He always wanted to do things right and took the time to do so. We have no complains at all. I would recommend him to anyone.

The work was excellent!  They were creative and detailed.  It was 100 times better than we could have imagined!  Everyone was great to work with.  I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Let me begin by being very clear to anyone reading this review: I am a real estate attorney, and over many years,  I have witnessed the good, the bad, and the hideously ugly when it comes to contractors. With those horror stories well inscribed in my mind, I took my time to interview quite a few "candidates" before I settled on From Tree to You as my cabinet maker. We started at the box store with their computer design program. They gave us a quote. It was very expensive and the quality was questionable. The commercial contractors just didn't impress me. So, I consulted Angie's List. I looked at a few cabinet contractors before Ken caught my eye. 
Before inviting Ken over to my home, and Ken doesn't even know this, but t performed a nationwide background check on him. Not one lawsuit came up on him personally or against his company. That was good news, but you don't find that often in today's economic environment. Then I performed a criminal background check on Ken to find not a single blemish. I'm not ashamed to say that I vetted Ken before even shaking his hand.
I called Ken and asked if he would be interested in coming to take a look at my kitchen. He responded immediately. He and Michelle came out, and I immediately felt at ease. When you meet Ken and Michelle, you'll see what I'm talking about--just a relaxed down to earth couple who you'd have over for dinner any time and very much enjoy their company.  
Ken listened to what we had in mind, took some photos, and was back within a couple of days with drawings and a very detailed quote. Again, we felt very comfortable with him. He did not pressure us whatsoever. The price he quoted actually beat the box store. You must realize that his product is extremely custom, so for him to compete with Lowe's was astonishing. I signed immediately.  
Ken put us on his schedule, and he delivered more than he promised. He and his team left our house spotless every single day when they left the site. Ken and Michelle were careful to schedule the installation to keep us in a working kitchen for as long as possible. They coordinated with the plumbers, granite company and the electricians. They went above and beyond by managing the other vendors' schedules.  
I have already recommended Ken to my builder clients. I will try to get some photos posted soon. My kitchen looks like something in a Southern Living Magazine. The soft close cabinets will last for many years. The quality is astounding. The fit was perfect. Ken was able blend the cabinets into our existing crown molding seamlessly. By their reactions, my friends most likely believe I spent a hundred thousand dollars on this remodel. I rarely write a review because people simply disappoint me. Rarely do people do what they say they will. Ken went beyond what I expected, even installing the vent over my new stove because the vendor was going to be too long getting to our house. He didn't have to do that. He did many things that were not part of the contract just to keep the job on time.  I highly recommend this refreshingly professional meticulous cabinet maker. He is what I call "old school," and that's hard to find these days. If you can envision it, Ken will create it.

From initial phone contact to completion of work he was friendly, courteous , and punctual.  He took the picture my wife had, took his measurement and got back with his design.  Modifications to bookcases etc were discussed and worked out to everyones approval.  Installation was performed smoothly and all cleanup was performed so we had a finished clean library when he left.  We would use Ken again in a heartbeat.

I designed the desk and cabinets and Ken Burke was able to duplicate my design. He workmanship is excellent. Great attention to detail. He matched the cabinet color with my kitchen cabinets and did a great job in duplicating the color. Would highly recommend him to anyone interested in cabinets.

Ken and his crew were very neat , organized and professional. They did everything they were expected to do and more. The skill Ken provided allowed several problems to be solved making the installation come out much better than originally planned. Ken made suggestions that were creative and helpful. The cabinets had been ordered and not built by Ken but they never would have been installed as well without Ken's ability to make changes to components that did not fit as planned, he was able to use his shop to make modifications which an installer could not have completed. 
We could not be more pleased with the results.

We were very, very pleased with all of his work.  He was really great.  He was a nice guy and he delivered what he said he would.  He is very detailed oriented, he just doesn’t want to throw up a project and walk out, but finish it.  He worked with us to figure out exactly what would work best for the project we were trying to do.  He did a lot; his work was fantastic and it is very, very high quality work.  The cabinet he made works well with our setup.  There was a lot detailed work that went into his work.  It is beautiful work; it really, really is.  We had several people come out and quote and he was by far, the best price and the best quality work.  We were unbelievably impressed with him.  We recommended him to friends that are using him.  He is great and we are compiling a list of things to be done in the house so we are going to be contacting him again soon.  He is really a good person to work with and if there were questions about things, when we were trying to figure out the stain that we wanted, he brought samples and tested it against the woods and he really took his time with it.  He wanted to be proud of the work as well.  He was working here during the month of December and we were both working so we just gave him the key to the house, and he was trustworthy enough that we trusted him to come into the house to do what he needed to do.  We have two dogs that are finicky and they loved him too, so it was a really good experience.  We were very, very pleased.

My experience with Ken was fantastic. He is very clear about what he thinks will produce the best product in the end, and is correct. He delivered a perfect complex cabinet in a short amount of time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for any custom cabinetry needs.

Ken made several good recommendations on how to construct and finish the cabinet.  He made multiple visits to my home to discuss detail and take measurements.  The installation was quick and clean.
I have already ordered two more items from Ken.  Another cabinet unit to replace a pair of columns.  It will be floor to ceiling and it will provide the structural support that was provided by the columns.  He is also providing a 15 foot long office countertop with cutouts so that the PC monitors can be located below the countertop and visible through a glass window.

We were very pleased with the work Ken did for us. He is professional, and has an eye for detail.  The finish work was excellent. He was reasonably pricedand a good communicator.

We contacted Ken and several other local carpentry companies for estimates. His pricing and sketches were far and away the best especially considering the quality of the materials he uses. He gave us a estimated date of completion and price for it. He was courteous throughout, cleaned up after himself before leaving every day and finished both on time and under budget. Couldn't be happier with his work.

After Ken did the work, he came back three months later to check if everything was still ok.  He checked underneath the house for a leak and it was as dry as a bone.  He is very honest and he knows what he is doing.
